Police report

My fiance lived in the U.S. from when he was 15 to right before he turned 18 years old. Will he need to obtain a police report for his stay in the U.S. during that time and bring it with him to the interview? He will be interviewing at the American Institute in Taiwan. He has a current police report for Taiwan and he has not lived anywhere else besides the few years in the U.S.

Thank you for your answers!

There is no American Embassy in Taiwan, the OP is correct, it is the American Institute in Taiwan. There is a political situation there that people not from Taiwan may not know about, so no offical US embassy is allowed in Taiwan. And second, you don't need a police certificate from the US. Any other country, yes, but not the US. The US does their own checks for people that have stayed in the US.

Someone back me up on this.

My fiance says the same thing, Jason32, but I just wanted to make sure so that there are no hang ups on the day of the interview. I don't want AIT to say that we needed a U.S. police clearance certificate and use that as a reason to put us into AP or something like that.

Cool, thanks reese1 !
