OK, I have been reading some of the other similar topics on this site, which has helped a lot! But I wanted to start my own just to make sure I understand what to do or if there is more information I need to know before my wife and I start this journey. First my wife is from China and we just moved to America after living in China for the past 4 years. We have been married for 2 in a half years and this past May finished my wife's visa processes and moved in June. My wife has a permanent resident and this spring we will be switching it to a green card, my wife's parent and family members want to be able to come visit us in the future. But they don't want to live here because they own a tea company and have a couple stores to take care of, they want to be come for a couple months at a time every year of every other then go back to China, since they don't want to live here would a travel visa be a good choice for them to get. Can you guys give me some more information about what would be the best rout to take in this situation?

Thanks for your time and help I look forward to your responses!!

they apply for a visitor visa at the US embassy where they live. they must show strong ties to their own country like owning property/business and or full time employment that they must return to. They must get the visa on their own merits.

Best route would be for them to apply.

They will need to apply for a B2 visa proving strong ties to their home country.

Oh and question- what do you mean your wife is a permanent resident and you're switching it to a green card? Isn't an LPR a person with a green card?
