What type of application?

If you click on the OP's timeline it shows that they filed the I-130.

They are beginning to be more consistent, though. Lots of people have been calling them and they are saying the same thing. It's even posted on the website.

They didn't. It's posted right on the website that I-130 apps are being processed on May 21, 2012 (this means that anyone before this date who doesn't have their's assessed yet, should be able to open a service request soon.

I129F applications are on May 28, 2012. Please read the Processing Times on the website.

Step 1: Go here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Step 3: Click on the Service Center drop down box. (Should be the second drop down box from the bottom)

Step 4: Choose Vermont Service Center.

Step 5: Click "Service Center Processing Dates."

(Wait until the new page opens)

Step 6: Scroll down to the application you submitted and it should state the processing dates that Vermont is working on.

The USCIS seems to be a circus.... I have never in my life dealt with such bad costumer service. I was told 20 different things by 20 different people. It is very disheartening when you just want to be with the one you love. I filed my I-130 in February 2012 VSC. The processing time was showing 5 months. I just finally received my NOA 2 in late November. My heart goes out to anyone is waiting longer than usual.

Yes I have called before. I always get different answers. Called three different times got three different answers. The first time I was told I would be called in for an interview. The second time I was told that my petition would be processed at NBC. The third time I was told that NBC is only preparing my application. Once CSC finishes their backlogs NBC will send my petition back to CSC for processing. I asked to speak to a tier 2 and they were all unavailable due to high call volume. I was told that I can leave a message and they will call me back within 48 to 72 hours. That was 2 weeks ago. Calling is a waste of time.

I reckon they just put up that date because it will be 'about right' til after christmas, so nobody has to go through all of the effort of updating the number on the website.
