Hello,

I'm just compiling the AOS application and would like to double check something so I'd appreciate your input.

I had my medical examination about 2 months ago in Canada. Now in the US. I know this is what's said about the I-693

"Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status.I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. If you are a K-1, K-2, K-3 or K-4 visa holder the I-693 instructions state that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. If you are missing any shots from your overseas medical a I-693 vaccination transcription is required to be completed by seeing a Civil Surgeon to have certain portions of the I-693 completed and have the Civil Surgeon certify the form (sealing the original in an envelope and giving you a copy)."

So I thought I wouldn't have to complete this form. However, flu shots were not being offered when I was in Canada. Do I need to have a flu shot before I can submit the AOS package?

My wife had to. She received one at her medical in July but it was outside the flu season and now since it was flu season she needed the shot. That's what the civil surgeon said.. I commented that I thought it was stupid that tbe government requires that and he got very defensive and pissed off, pretty much talked with my wife after that. A little touchy I guess.

I am also confused about this. my wife took her medical in July and now we are planing to send in the aos forms. do we need to send in the copy of the vacination record?

I think yes. Reading this brought some clarity but I'm not 100% sure.
