wrong k-1 interview date

hi, my finacee received her k-1 interview appointment letter on dec. 1, 2012. on the letter the interview is set for dec. 28, 2013 which is 1 year away. so, i have been calling NVC in india to look in to the matter. they tell me that she has to report on the date that is mention, but this date is on Saturday and as far i know they are close on Saturday. this is at Mumbai Consulate.

so my question is:

1. is the interview suppose to be this far apart?

2. has anybody had this kind of problem?

3. who should i contact to get the date corrected? because i think it should dec. 28, 2012.

any help would be great.....thanks in advance

send an email to support-india@ustraveldocs.com they will issue you a new interview letter

thank you for the reply...I have send e-mails to support-india@ustraveldocs but they are not telling me anything except to go on date mention in the letter.

print interview schedule from us consulate mumbai website. if your case# is there they will allow you inside.

you can use same for medical, if medical folks do not do medical based on schedule, still go for interview on dec 28, they will give you 221g for medical which you can submit later. and also give you corrected letter.

you can also call US Department of State at +1 202-663-1225 option 1 then 0, they should be able to help you.

I check the mumbai consulate website for dec 2012 interview but we are not listed. I also called DOS and they stayed that my fiancée interview is set for dec 28, 2013. They told me that probably is a mistake and told me to call the mumbai embassy because they can't do anything.

1. call help desk and ask them to talk to supervisor so they can convey your message to consulate

2. facebook has mumbai consulate page and they respond to some queries there as well. so post questions there it will be answered by visa officer
