Dear December filers,

I submitted the I-130 on Friday Dec. 23rd and it was recieved on December 26th at 8.00 AM. I know I still have time to go...but does anyone know whether the USCIS works over this holiday time? I assume that Christmas and New Years Day are holidays, but what about other days?

Thanks

pappupulusu

Per this calender they are only closed Dec 25 and Jan 1. But I am sure they are not fully staffed with people taking vacation time during the holidays.

Thanks so much for all the replies! Just got NOA1 via text/email.

Questions -

1. Can I print out the email from the USCIS and apply for a K3?

2. My file was routed to the NBC - is it really faster than the other servicing centers?

Thanks,

pappupulusu

Its good to see Dec 2012 filers. Felt like I was the only one. After viewing the thread from people whose cases was sent to NBC and told from lawyers it could take 6-9 months, I believe it will be shorter. NBC seems to be working fast and I pray all of us get our NOA2 Fast...:thumbs:

I think that is all of our prayers!!! I just wish I understood how people were approved. Some people waiting over 5 mo and some people getting approved in 40 days. Sometimes I think a person grabs a random file off his/her desk and just stamps it approved. I just wish they would grab mine :P

Does anyone know if they have been moved to a local office? Will they tell us if or when we are moved? Will everyone be moved to a local office? Or well some of us stay at the NBC?

me too! Also, I'm trying to add my timeline to my signature it says you need to have 1 or more approved posts ? Why so

How are you trying to do it? You should be in settings, which you can see under your username at the top right corner. Then click the profile tab and then Change Signature and you should be able to edit your signature there.

Does anyone know if they have been moved to a local office? Will they tell us if or when we are moved? Will everyone be moved to a local office? Or well some of us stay at the NBC?

They won't tell you if your file has been moved, the only way to find out is to call USCIS and get a tier two person and they can tell you where your file is. No, not everyone gets shunted to a local office, some will stay at NBC. Which ones are transferred and which ones stay? Only USCIS knows that criteria!

Some people have wrote that it showed online that they were transferred to a local office... So I thought I would ask if anyone knew if they were moved or not.

Am I wrong or this is how it was supposed to be. My NOA 1 was received and my application is right now at NBC with a MSCfile number. THis is what mycasestatus shows.

Is this correct ?. How long does it take for NOA2, I got my NOA1 on Dec 21st

(See attached file)

That's how it should look. You can make an account and add your case # and see when it's been last "touched". As for an NOA2 ... who knows.. some people have been approved in under 60 days.. We all have our fingers crossed for this..
