Another NBC, filed from abroad approval!!!!!

I did end up calling to USCIS again, this time with my hubby present and had THE WORST person on the phone. The CSR was incredibly pleasant but the ISO was so wretched and short with me. All I wanted to was confirm the address and ask about the I864 or I864A to confirm which one my FIL would need to fill in. Nothing but attitude from her. After getting off the phone, I checked my email 10 minutes later and got my NOA2 email!

YAY daphoknee!! I'm so happy for you! I had a feeling that you should get approved soon and if you didn't you needed to check what's going on with your file! Esp after I just saw another filer in the process and procedures section who also filed from abroad in December and got their approval in 39 days and I ran over here to let you know!

Hope you're ready for NVC! Hop on over to the NVC thread and start studying up on what you need, all the info is in the first post.

Almost! AOS is done, taxes sent off just waiting for them to process so that I can order the transcripts. IV packet is put together but still needs some work. Of course depending on my dear sweet LAZY husband is driving me crazy! He's had papers that need to be translated for a week now and still hasn't done it. Also needs to renew his passport. ALSO needs to check how to get police clearance! :ranting: but at least I know what going into each packet and have done the cover letters, once I have everything it's just a matter of assembling everything and sending it off. This is worse than finals in Uni I swear...

Well, it DOES help that I'm not working right now and get to sit at home and research the **** out of this process and whine at him to get his butt moving! You'd think he'd be interested in moving quick too since if he doesn't have his visa by August I'll be leaving anyway with our son and the new baby! *sigh* Is it just me or do women just do better with this kind of detailed stuff? Not sure about all or most guys but my guy specifically uses THE BEST excuse "I don't know what do to and you're so much better at this stuff than I am!" Really?! He's the USC and I'm the beneficiary. If you were to sit him down now and ask what the next step is, he would have no clue. How annoying! I've got a full time job, part time school and all this paperwork to deal with, I wish I had more time with this.

I'm starting to compile my AOS and IV packets now too.

Just got this email today:

"Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On January 30, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283. "

I'm assuming I'll be receiving another letter from USCIS about transferring to NVC soon-ish.

You are not doing a stand alone I-130 petition, you are doing adjustment of status, which is why it's confusing.

Something is telling me to call USCIS to see if my case is still at NBC or transfered. So I am going to do just that right now :)

Just keep telling the CSR you are pretty sure your case was transferred to a field office and only a Tier 2 Supervisor can see that info. That should get you through to one.

My case is still at NBC and was told to wait 4-5 months. However, he thought my husband was in the states with me and I assured him he was not. The Tier 2 rep told me i have to contact my attorney and see why it looks like my husband is already in America. Has anyone had a similar issue like this?

Yes - read some of my threads. USCIS changed my husband's address to America without my permission. Did the ISO tell you where your husband's address was listed as?

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.
