Hi everyone, hoping for some advice on this. I found this list (copied below my post) in the K-1 guide, of 'What to send your overseas fiance on receiving the NOA2'. I'm just wondering if my fiance really needs to send me all this stuff, and why. A copy of the entire I-129f package? He made a copy of most of the package at the time, but I think he left a few things out, like the photo and email evidence, things we could print out again for ourselves. Does he need to mail me the physical copy with our signatures on each letter/form and so on? Do I need to present this at some point? Can he send most of it electronically and just let me print it out on my end? I'm confused too about it saying to 'send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiancee for their interview at the embassy'. Surely I don't need things like his birth certificate and divorce decree and so on to take with me to the interview? This just all sounds so odd as I haven't heard anywhere else that I needed to bring copies of documents from the I-129f package to the interview.

Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Riss.

1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one).

2. Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy.

3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F).

4. I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is signed, with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all.

5. You will likely need at a minimum (for the above form) two to three of your most recent pay stubs and a signed letter from your employer listing you job title, start date, your salary, and the status (full-time) of your position. Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. You will also probably want to include other evidence such as your banking information and other assets as required by the I-134. Specifically you will need at least 2 of the 4 options mentioned in Section II-Supporting Evidence of the I-134. See this FAQ for more tips and ueful information on the Affidavit of Support Form.

6. A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail.

7. Proof of your ongoing relationship. This needs to be taken to the interview! Include photos, travel documents, emails, etc from between the time you filed and present (NOA1 date-now).

I moved your post to the Australia & New Zealand forum; because, at this stage, things get embassy specific.

The entire packet 1 is not really necessary, It's a suggestion. Especially if the fiance(e) ignores the contents of the first packet. If you have a scanned copy or if he send you a digital copy of it, that'd be ok good.gif I, for example, was the beneficiary and the one who put packet 1 together; and I only kept digital copies of it (I-129f + G325-A and letters of intent and the photo collage we sent).

At this point, the only things he needs to send to you with original signatures are: new letter of intent, form I-134 Affidavit of Support, Letter from the employer (if it applies to him), letter from the bank (if it applies to him) and pay stubs (if he gets digital copies, that's fine too).

If you click on the Australian Flag under your name, you'll reach the Aussie portal and there, you will find the Consulate Information http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Australia&cty=Sydney there it says what all the consulate in Sydney requests, and how they will reach you.

Let's wait for other people who have gone through the embassy in Sydney help you with the specifics. If no one else replies, send me a private message and I'll move your post to the main K1 area again.

No, you only need what was listed in Packet 3. When you get packet 4 (the interview letter) they will provide you with a list of what you need to bring to the interview itself. Usually it is just your passport, visa receipt, the interview letter and an express post envelope. If there is anything that was missing from packet 3 you can bring it to the interview.

Each consulate is different, and the list above is a generic one to cover all consulates. Sydney is one of the easiest consulates.
