If you are in the F-2A category your husband is not a USC and so your child will not be able to get a US passport through your husband now.

Others in your position have been advised to take the baby's birth certificate with you when going for your interview and see if they would allow the child to be added in order to travel with you.

You should apply for a passport for the child in your country now.

If you still decide to wait then your mother take her to the US for you but you need to apply for that passport now.

Good Luck.

Petitioner LPR upgraded to USC June 22, 2012

Wait for the child to get a Jordain passport. At your interview, you can add your child to your case. Your visa will be valid for up to six months. Your child can immigrate with you and get a green card WITHOUT filing more paperwork and paying more fees. Is six months not enough time for a Jordanian passport?

If you immigrate first and the baby comes later, you may have problems - more paperwork, more fees, what if grandmother is not granted a visa or denied entry, etc.

You can do a follow-to-join. She cannot travel as soon as she gets a passport, she needs an immigration visa. You will need to file form I-824 with the NVC and pay a $405 fee. Request the case be reopen. File the DS-230 for the baby and pay another fee. Go to the interview for the baby. Wait for visa, then she can immigrate.

It is a lot easier for the baby to immigrate with you. You are doing it the hard and expensive way by wanting a follow-to-join.

So what's wrong with a Jordanian passport?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

thanks green card 2013 hope you and your baby join your husband soon inshallah,

I have one more question , I asked lawyer here in my country about my case , he told me don't call nvc to add your child because they will open your case again and it may delay your interview date ,the best thing to do is to prepare the documents for my baby and bring her with me to the interview date and they will add her to my file automatically ,I don't know if it is the right thing to do or not , and is my baby required for medical exam she is 5 month old now

thanks

let me tell u that u should contact nvc at the time your baby born i don t know why u wait 5 month? if u contact nvc at that time when your baby born nvc would ask u just translated birth certificate and filling form ds230 and i824 they take just 20 days they will just add him for review after that they will prepare interview for u and your baby at the same time this is the correct way if you want to travel and your baby will get green card like u and after 3 years u will get us citizen with your baby.

but it s not two late to contact nvc,if u go to interview they will tell u your baby is not eligible for visa and will not travel with you my be they will return your case to nvc and not give u visa to travel.to do process of follow to join, consulate deliver visa and don t add anythink they do what is written in package that it

-bringin passport and birth certificate to interview date is for women who get visa after that her baby born they are not the same i asked before.
