My wife has an appointment at the ambacy in about 2 months in......... Mexico.

She has a visiters visa. And would like to come directly here after her appointment.

From what i understand after the appointment, it will take anywhere from 2 days to about a month to recieve your "sealed" packet in the mail at her residence in Mexico..... to take to Costoms and BP to get entered into the system as entering the US and get your Passport stamped.

My wife would like to be able to visit in the US..... and have her packet from the embacy, sent to my residence in the US.

I live very close to Canada, can she have her family send her "sealed packet" to my residency.... and then....can we have her enter throught Canada to get her entered into the system and stamped passport?

This will not be possible. Save yourself unnecessary trouble and plan for her to travel to your residence from her current residence after the visa is issued.

How will she leave Mexico if her passport is with the US Embassy and will be mailed together with the packet?

Have your wife wait in Mexico until her packet arrives. Don't complicate things anymore.

Her passport will be held at the consulate. She will receive her passport with the sealed packer at her home in Mexico. Her tourist visa will be cancelled as well.

Thank you all for the replies!

I had no idea that they would take her passport and cancel her tourist visa after the appt at embacy.

At this point she is very stressed and just wants to be together. Which is understandable.

I guess if i have to. I will just wait there with her.

Does anyone know about how long packets are taking in Mexico? Or is that something they can give her a general timeline for after the appointment?
