Do you guys think this is real? Looks like a hoax to me. Surely the world can't be THIS cruel, can it?

I think Americans just come off as aggressive and rude, when seen from the viewpoint of other cultures. Given our physical size, it is easy to come off as intimidating. I was working one place for many years, and got one of my high school buddies a job their for a while. He was a rather large 6'6" and 300 lbs plus. We would occasionally sell travel trailers and tow vehicles to Japanese executives to ship back to Japan on the same ships that brought so many cars to a nearby port in San Francisco Bay. My friend thought it was fun to tower over the five foot orientals in a confined area, and observe their reactions.

Not to mention our huge noses and bulging eyes !

However, never overlook the 'Napoleon' complex where short-botties get really nasty as they resent being so short and seek to take it out on lofties

My dad was quite short and warned me about them

When I worked, the Sales director (shorty) had a couple of drinks and he looked at me (6ft) and said - "When I am Managing Director, I am going to fire everyone over 5 foot 8---and he meant it too !

Applies to men and women

Honest question. Would you hold it against a group of older American women if they took one of those sex trips to Africa to get it on with a guy 30+ years younger than them? And in the same sense would you hold it against American men if the roles were reversed...as in men took that same trip in order to get it on with gals 30+ years younger than them.

Sex tourism? Yeah, gross on all fronts. Men and women. For a while (and it's somewhere around here still probably) we had a post going on a Ch4 documentary where some women from the UK were going to Turkey and brought their kids with them on their little sex tour. That had quite a few negative reactions. It may be in OT somewhere, buried. Pretty trashy to take your kids on somethings like that.

Thanks, but I'm sticking with the BF. I don't like 'em younger (I'm only perigeriatric, not yet old enough to really have my cougar claws out) because I have zero to talk to about with them. There's a very sweet and smart 22-year-old boy who works in my office, who reminds me daily why -- for me -- youth is nice for display but not for every day. Very pretty but not enough life experience to make them attractive to me.

The BF is just 1000% awesomeness in every regard. He's even man enough to be coming home with me in three weeks for Christmas to meet the parents. He's afraid my daddy will be waiting at the front door with a shotgun, but I reminded him that my parents are leftist New England pinkos so no fear there at least for guns.

 Own age is nice. I like guys my own age.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

Taking children on one of those trips crosses the line big time imo but I don't see anything wrong if a gal wants to travel out of country in order to get her freak on. That's her business and as long as she isn't doing it with minors then what's the problem with it?

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I took a young girlfriend to Turkey. We arrived at the hotel at 6pm - she went off with the waiter at 8pm and came back to the room at 2am

She went there every year - on her own or with a girlfriend usually

It was just slimy people together. Just gross. And yes, I think bringing kids crosses a whole other line. Anyway, they looked pathetic (the women).

Middle aged UK women seeking sex with young foreign men. Possibly two or even three men at a time. I blame it on their Celtic roots. :hehe:

Me too -- its the Celts

My granny's dad was Irish but I got the Iranians to centrifuge the genes out of my blood leaving only Saxon-Norman-Danish...oh and a mild dash of Welsh - dash I forgot that.

Oh well its back to Teheran again

It appears that Gaddafi was right when he said he had found out that women were in fact humans....

But the number of female European sex tourists in the far east is still....non existent ?

That's coz men like em little and women like em big (their 'love' interest that is)

.

Until a few years ago, had a radio talk show host, Tom Likis, who said it as it is. He stated: a man wants to attract the hottest woman he can afford, and a woman wants to attract the wealthiest guy she can attract. Some of you may disagree, but I think it's true.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

That makes sense and I can't disagree. But women taking those sex trips to 3rd world countries searching for young guys are flying under that radar. It's a low percentage but a growing one.

nah that's just man's bar talk

an urban myth

My wife is 11.5 years younger than me and earns far more than I did when I was European Group Finance Director

She is v good looking too

Of course I am an incredibly attractive physical specimen with an amazing intellect and that accounts for it

Modesty prevents me from elucidating further but you can guess

Tom Leykis is back on the air (as of a few months ago) as soon as his last contract ran out. Sadly it is internet only and premium.

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect
