Anyone ever wondered why some people choose to live in a gaited community along with having an active neighborhood watch?

For a feeling of security and so their family and friends can visit them and feel safe doing so?

Anyone ever wondered why some people choose to live in a gaited community along with having an active neighborhood watch?

Perhaps because they like taking their animals to shows and are afraid Fido might run away?

Maybe because they had come criminal activity in the area? Say what you are really thinking, don't tip toe around it, I'm interested in what your opinion is.

Iv'e never lived in a gaited community with an active neighborhood watch myself but I would have to say it's a safety/security thing for those people. They want the least amount of crime in their neighborhood as possible.

Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

And what does that have to do with Martin? I am curious as some people have posted what he was doing before this happened. He was suspended from school and had to live with his father, so what? What does that have to do with him walking to the store and back home. It's amazing how people are so willing to overlook this kid was not doing anything criminal at the time, they want to reach back and find some reason to have him arrested. And just because he is black doens't make him a suspect, but I guess in that neighborhood in Florida, someone should have given him the memo.

22 robberies in a year and a half time in that gaited community and 17 of those were committed by black males. So ya I think there's a chance that Martin was racially profiled by Zimmerman. That isn't the issue. The issue is who attacked who first. Was Martin defending himself after Zimmerman physically attacked him or was Zimmmerman defending himself after Martin physically attacked him. That's the issue. Was it self defense.

any news of the blood tests on TM, during/after the autopsy?

He was suspended from school the prior day, found with some green, smokable stuff.

I think I went over this in my first post, look at it this way:

Zimmerman had plenty of time and chance to approach Martin on the street, when he was walking from the store. In a public setting, there would have been less of a chance that things would have gotten out of hand. Zimmerman was in a vehicle talking to 911 for about 4 minutes before he got out and started chasing him on foot. In that time frame he could have sped up and confronted Martin in a way that wouldn't look menancing(say like in a back alley when you have been chased for the last 5 minutes) Did you hear the call, he all but said Martin was a criminal, his intentions were not good and when he finally caught up with Martin, do you really think he was all nice and polite to him?

I'm pretty sure that smoking weed isn't a good enough reason to kill someone when they are walking home from the store.

Intentions or not it comes down to who physically attacked who first. In the United States of America it isn't against the law to question someone but it is against the law to physically attack another human being. It isn't against the law for the human being that was attacked to defend themselves even if it means shooting their attacker.

Oh, sorry, that's not my point. I'm interested to know if TM was HIGH or not, at the time of his death.

TM's perceptions of reality might have been tainted by any drug in his system. Usually when I talk to teenagers around the neighborhood, they show a modicum of respect, even when I ask them what they're doing.. TM - GZ dialogue really should be examined, I think so - but that's for later, aye?

That's it, that's all - I wasn't alluding to something else, at all.

This would be a valid point if Trayvon was, you know, participating in any crime. But he wasn't. Trayvon Martin did nothing to threaten the safety of this precious gated community.

TM got busted for weed. Since when did weed make someone violent?

It's not unfair to wonder if one of them or both of them were under the influence.

If would only be unfair if one wondered as a means to find reasons to speculate. Certainly not the case here.

Zimmerman initiated the conflict. It happened as a direct result of his own actions. You could easily say that Martin felt threatened and decided to defend himself. Martin only had fists to use, Zimmerman had a gun.

It's part of the issue. If it hadn't happened, Zimmerman wouldn't be in the mess he's in and Martin would be alive.

agreed. GZ had a prior prescription for some psychotropic drugs to help with anxiety - he could have easily held some back, over time, and popped one that day.
