How so? Because he is white? How does a photo of injuries establish who started a fight?

Playing the race card are we?

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

How about someone post a pic of Trayvon, the other side of this fight. The fact that he is still alive, I have no sympathy for him.

It's not complicated. Zimmerman's face is battered and bloody. There was no bruising or cuts on Zimmerman's fists or knuckles. There was bruising/cuts on Martins knuckles.

When one person has a bruised face and the other has bruised knuckles; most people, no matter their color, can figure out who was hitting and who was being hit.

Actually he is mixed heritage, hispanic and white. I think the race card was played in this situation, if Trayvon was white I'll bet anything he wouldn't have gone after him.

That doesn't tell me who started a fight. Like others have said, nothing would have even happened that evening if Zimmerman had minded his own business and let a kid walk home from a store. Wearing a hoodie and being black isn't enough to warrant following someone and interrogating them.

It's clear that Martin hit Zimmerman. We have no idea what happened, other than he was being followed and questioned, that provoked him. Even if Martin initiated the physical conflict, the situation arose because of the ridiculously stupid actions of Zimmerman. Zimmerman had a gun, Martin did not. Zimmerman has cuts on his hands, Martin got a bullet wound to the chest.

On a forum where people are bragging about pulling guns on people for silly things like having music too loud, it is hilarious and hypocritical to me that they'd judge Martin for getting into it with a guy who was following him and questioning him without reason.

In order to have some perspective; I don't own a gun and have never owned a gun.

As you said, it's clear that Martin hit Zimmerman. There is absolutely zero evidence that Zimmerman hit Martin.

All I'm saying is that it's obvious that Zimmerman was getting beat. If he felt his life was in danger; then I believe he had the right to use a gun.

Where does Martin have the right to attack Zimmerman?

Where does Zimmerman have the right to follow Martin and question what he's doing in his neighborhood? He was literally doing nothing but walking down the street, towards his father's home. That's it.

Why are we talking about Zimmerman feeling threatened when in the beginning, it was Martin feeling threatened. Evidenced by the fact that he RAN AWAY from Zimmerman, which he even says on his 911 call. That he's following him because the kid is running away.

Why does Zimmerman get to chase the kid down for no reason, and Martin isn't allowed to defend himself with the only weapon he has, his fists?

I keep trying to plus one you again, but I can't. Your last statement hit the nail on the head, I'd be a little jumpy too if someone was following me at night for over 5 minutes. If GZ wanted to confront him so bad he could have easily sped up, rolled down his window, identified himself, and asked him what was going on. But instead he called 911 as to stage an alibi so he could make TM out to be a threat, and then proceeded to chase that boy all the way home.

But all Zimmerman was doing was walking in his own neighborhood as well. If someone walks behind another person; that is enough to warrant attacking them?

I don't think Martin ran away. In fact, I think he said on the phone to his girl friend that he wasn't going to run. But, I'm definitely not interested enough to search for the right answer.

What is Martin defending himself from? Martin is walking in the neighborhood and so is Zimmerman; so Martin gets to attack Zimmerman?

You're missing the point that Ev and others are trying to make, GZ created the situation. You can't claim stand your ground when you start the fight. Maybe Martin got the first punch in and just overwhelmed GZ, that could be the case, but you have to remember, GZ went after him. If all he wanted to do was talk to him, why did he call 911 first, then stalk him?

A few pics of Trayvon were posted by the media. One of when he was 14 years old, and another pic that was photo chopped to make him look "whiter". Kind of had him with Micheal Jackson's post surgery skin tone. Good 'ol media and ethics.

Zimmerman was not simply taking a pleasant stroll in his neighborhood. He was on his way to (or just getting back from, I forget) Target when he saw Martin and started following him because he was "suspicious" ... not that he was doing anything. He followed Martin in his SUV, then got out on foot and followed him some more, asking him who he was and what he was doing there.

If someone did that to me, I'd definitely be scared. Especially not knowing who the hell it was.
