I keep trying to plus one you again, but I can't. Your last statement hit the nail on the head, I'd be a little jumpy too if someone was following me at night for over 5 minutes. If GZ wanted to confront him so bad he could have easily sped up, rolled down his window, identified himself, and asked him what was going on. But instead he called 911 as to stage an alibi so he could make TM out to be a threat, and then proceeded to chase that boy all the way home.

I've argued about this case ad nauseum in this forum after it first happened and your points in bold are why I think GZ will be found guilty of manslaughter. It was his actions that led to the violent confrontation, not Martin's. GZ not only put himself in a precarious situation by stalking a resident of his neighborhood, he failed to demonstrate his regard for the safety of himself and the 'suspect' by not identifying himself and explaining why he was following him.

Hey, some people depend on weapons to fight their battles for them. It's all good.

Half the time, they panic and can't take the weapon off safety before the assailant takes the weapon away from them, or shoots them first.

The investigation was still ongoing, there was no final disposition presented by the district attorney. Zimmerman was simply released on his own recognisance and promised to turn himself in if there were charges to be filed in the future.

Why don't you ask why the lead investigator of the case was told by his superior to not charge GZ when the investigator (you know, the guy who actually did the investigating) felt he had enough evidence to arrest GZ?

Your reading comprehension skills fail you. The lead investigator wanted to arrest GZ. There's no getting around that fact. He spent two weeks on the investigation to arrest him. The AG felt there wasn't enough evidence that would lead to a conviction. That's how our legal system works. Perhaps you should watch more Law and Order and less Honey Boo Boo.

What did I just post or do you not read English? The police didn't see a problem with Zimmerman's story and let him go with no charges. The prosecutors supervisor didn't see any reason to charge Zimmerman whether it be lack of evidence or not and chose not to charge Zimmerman. You even posted it.

There's no telling what 'pressure' Serino thought he was under, but he would facing perjury if he gave false testimony. No wonder he hired Casey Anthony's lawyer. He's got a lot explaining to do.

It may indicate their original statement was coerced, hence their need to correct the record under protection of the Feds.
