Why do youths in cars play loud music in public?

Yeah that's why I quit bothering with the turn signal when merging. Apparently in this country it's an indication for the person in the other lane to speed up and block you from merging.

I like the India way. No lanes. All the bumpers say "Horn Please OK" They seem to drive by sound there rather than sight. I remember being in a hotel car that picked me up from the airport. The driver aciidentally hit some guy on a motorbike. The driver wanted to stop to see if everything was ok, and a cop ran over and said "whay are you stopping!!?? Keep moving!!"

In the US, turn signals are a sign of weakness.

My husband NEVER uses his turn signal. I've stopped mentioning it when being a passenger. Just makes him mad.

A lot of people don't, it drives me nuts, especially when they cut right in front of you, or slow down to make a turn and you have no idea what's going on. They usually get a good blow off the horn from me while going by.

The middle finger is the new turn signal.

I've never even honked my horn at someone. I am not equipped to drive in America.

Who in their right mind pulls a gun yet is afraid to use it? That's equivalent to keeping an unloaded gun on your person or even in your house.

You'd be suprised, there are some people on here I can tell wouldn't shoot someone and be armed to the teeth. The ones who brag about having guns are usually the ones who won't shoot someone.

Only cowards stick a gun on someone's face out of fear. I never allowed anyone to stick a gun in my face and I would shoot first if anyone tried to.

You guys are just too nice!

Here's a taste of reality. I had a gun stuck in my face in my own house, and yes the guy was a coward. He chose not to shoot me and a few weeks later I put him in the hospital after waiting hours outside the bar for him to come out to his truck. I did a year and a half for that (me having priors didn't help). But to think your going to go for your gun while someone has their gun stuck in your face is being anything but realistic. It doesn't take much pressure to squeeze a trigger. Talking about what one would do if being in that situation and actually being in that situation are two different animals all together.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Have you had the "privelage" of driving in a major city yet, preferably at rush hour?

I drove a huge UHAUL truck through downtown Chicago at rush hour. Worst driving experience of my life.

It was also my first time IN Chicago, and I was following my husband home to Wisconsin. So I wasn't familiar AT ALL with where I was supposed to be going. Good times.

Iv'e never shot at anyone but yes I have pulled a gun. I think some people on here have the idea that everyone on this board led some kind of model lifestyle their entire life. I don't brag about my guns for the fact I don't know of any households here in Alaska that don't have at least one firearm. Guns are a fact of life up here and it might be the reason we have the loosest gun laws in the entire USA. No CCW's are required and open carry is allowed. I have a few felonies and all it took was a court appearance in front of the judge (my neighbor atm) and I have all my gun rights back. No rocket science degree required.

Sounds like you had a nice "welcome to the USA" parade.

My favorite are the people who see right lane closed 1 mile ahead and then drive to the very and and try to squeeze in, stopping all other traffic.

Merging where the lane ends in what is commonly referred to as the 'zipper merge' is the most efficient - and the recommended way to do it. Why? Well, because if you want to maximize traffic flow, then that's how it's done. The issue are not the drivers doing it right, the issue are the drivers denying the merge. That is what slows down traffic and what brings it to a stop. You know, it's bad drivers like you that annoy the hell out of me. And then you put icing on the cake by outing yourself as one of the bad drivers here.

A little lesson for you here:

By this estimation, which I believe is to be true, I know those boys in that car weren't pointing a shotgun at him. He said he saw a shotgun, but even though he was "frightened", he somehow managed to get into his glove department, grab his gun, unholster it, and squeeze off 8 shots, 4 while they were sitting there and another 4 when they started to flee(I find this funny as he has said he couldn't believe he actually killed someone, 8 shots in a car will do that).

Agreed. Live Iv'e stated before, with the facts presented so far I believe the guy is guilty of murder.

Funny, that's not what your original thread title implied.

But that had to be changed ;)
