Quick question about POE.

I just received my visa today. FINALLY! Jumping on a flight on Thursday. My wife is in Hawaii, but her family lives in LA, and I have an aunt down in San Diego. I have enough bonus points for a flight from Oslo to LA. One way tickets to Hawaii are really cheap from SD. I'm thinking of flying into LA, spend two days with my in-laws. My wife has some stuff at her mom's house she wants me to bring, I have xmas presents to give them, and my parents have packed xmas presents for my aunt. From there I'll head down to San Diego and see my aunt for one or two days and then fly out to Hawaii from San Diego.

Is this likely to cause CBP to raise their eyebrows and give me any trouble? At this point we're scared to death to do anything "out of the ordinary" and I'm probably over thinking this. My wife and I always stop by California to see the family every time either of us fly to or from Hawaii. My aunt is old, and my in-laws get grumpy if we don't stop by and say hi. It's very disrespectful in Korean culture to be in town and not say hi to your in-laws

LOL you are so cute. You can POE anywhere dear. When they ask where you live you say Hawaii. If they ask what are you here for do tell them "My aunt is old, and my in-laws get grumpy if we don't stop by and say hi. It's very disrespectful in Korean culture to be in town and not say hi to your in-laws". That is so precious.(L)

Hey if you need a relative in Texas I am all your. Happy Holidays Jay Jay so thrilled for you.

Oh one more! In my carry on I'm bringing my passport and the brown envelope, I also have the x-ray and vaccination sheet. Just in case I also have all the evidence of bonafide marriage I brought to the interview. Anything crucial I'm missing?

?

I have heard people use either one and had no problems. If there is someone directing traffic, have them point you to the correct line. You are an immigrate on the CR-1/IR-1 and therefore can use the LPR/USC line..

Have a good trip,

Dave

Nope you should not have any problem, when you are entering on CR1 most POE officer don't care or are very relaxed they don't ask wht you gonna do or where you gonna live or nothing.... :)

They know you are coming to live in US on perm basis... when I did mine it was like 15 mins he just asked what date we got married and I think that he did only to validate if to issue the Conditional Card or 10 Yr card.

Took the finger prints we just did some small talk and thats it.. he informed me card would be mailed to u in 90 days and if u do not receive the card call blah blah number and done.
