i dont know what to do,my NBI clearance is scheduled for releasing the day after my interview.I already rescheduled my interview because of some follow up check ups at St. Lukes. Can i still go to my interview without my NBI clearance, but i do have the receipt or i have to wait for it in order to do the interview, can i still reschedule my interview for the 2nd time?

Yes, you can. But WITHOUT your NBI clearance, the embassy would surely put you into 221G section and let you submit lacking papers in order for your visa to be released.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.

Do you have a "hit"?

Try to go and claim your clearance before your interview date. When I renewed my NBI clearance last June they told me to come back after 10 working days because I have a "hit". I tried to claim it a day ahead (because I happen to pass-by the NBI office), luckily it was already available for release.

You might want to try it too, but if no luck, you can go ahead with your scheduled interview. Expect a 221g though.

If you can, I would keep your interview and expect the 221g and then provide them the information when you receive it. I may be wrong, hopefully somone with more knowledge of this will be able to better answer you. I hope it all works out for you. :thumbs:

NBI said the same thing when i went to the office and filed for one and what i did is since im from Davao and is going to fly to Manila for interview i begged to the officer that if they can do it earlier because i need it so badly i told him about my situation and that its the only thing i needed. he kept on saying he cant but i never gave up until finally he went outside the office and talked to me secretly telling me "he will make a long distance call to the main office and that they will just charge me with the long distance fee" so in my head whatever it takes as long as i will get the clearance to heck with it i will pay whatever there is to be paid and so i asked him how much he said 200 pesos :P and i offered to pay that day but he said i should wait until its ready for pick up so he asked for my number and he gave his number too a day after he issued me the clearance then the following day he texted me telling me its ready for pick up so i got my clearance before my flight to Manila. im not saying you bribe them but maybe you can ask them if they can provide it to you the soonest as you need it so badly, as for me i wouldnt want to go to my interview with a lacking requirement thats why i begged. I intent no harm to the respected NBI office but that is what happened to me

i went to the NBI main office they dont have fixers like that,if there was it will cost 700-800, thats what the people told me.and then i asked those office personnel's about it and they told me that i should never try to rush it,because it might be a red flag if i do that.they told me that the Embassy had already checked my background and that they will understand if i dont have it yet.but since im going to St.lukes today again,i will try to get it cuz that office is just around the corner.

anyway thank you all guys :)

ill just think positive. :)

When my Fiancee renewed her NBI in Las Pinas she picked it up the next day. I am amazed how it varies at the different NBI offices in the Philippines.

I'm from Las Pinas too. If a person doesn't have a "hit" (same name with another person/s) they will receive their clearance on the same day. If there's a "hit", like in my case, clearance will be released after 10 working days.

Yes.

I don't know the "exact" words that you will hear, but if you show up on your interview WITHOUT the NBI clearance, you can expect a 221g from the consul.

You will need to send in your NBI via 2GO and wait for your passport with visa to be delivered/picked-up. You can email or call the Embassy in between for follow-up.
