Change Service Center?

I am the USC, and my wife is in Toronto. I am in Charlotte, North Carolina, which has a USCIS Field Office

We filed I-130 Sept 17, received NOA1 Sept 19 via email with a priority date of Sept 17.

Sept 22 received NOA Transfer Notice to Lee's Summit, MO.

No action since. Case Status shows Initial Review.

A couple questions:

Should I change our service center from VSC to MSC? Our case number begins with EAC.

Any idea why the case would be sent to MO when there is a Field Office in Charlotte?

Any experience that shows this may help improve our timeline?

Thanks.

All of the applications after 8/15 were sent to MO.

After that, some get sent to field offices based on residence, some don't.

And maybe even some do and no one even knows about it.

Personally, I would change your service center to NBC because your approval time is going to skew vermont's current sloth status for approvals.

Ya, it's possible. Unless you have an RFE or get jammed into a slow local office like Atlanta.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Beats me - the only indication , so far, is an RFE issued at a local office.

How is it possible? Do you know of any members that have tried this?

Are you really saying that we can "change" our center? Could someone please clarify?

My understanding is that USCIS dispatch each application to a center or local office and it's not something you can change (If not, everybody would go to NBC or some local offices in the middle of nowhere!* )

*According to KDubovik, that would be Nebraska, Portland and Christiansted

1. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=c3c7ca7c5fed9310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=e7801c2c9be44210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD I take it to mean that the casefiles are first sent to MSC, National Benefits Center. Some other 'stuff' is determined, whether or not to send off the casefile to a local USCIS field office for processing.

2. Oy Vey !!
