So, I'm filing the i-864 for my wife in Sweden.

My current income is $29,500 per year, but I just started the job this month, so I literally have only one pay stub.

I'm including 2 tax transcripts only since I can't get the 3rd yet, and 1 pay stub. 1 letter from the bank that I have reopened an account, and a letter from work stating that I work there and my income is the one stated above.

Trouble is, I don't know if this will suffice, considering I worked part-time the past 3 years in Sweden and filed $13,500 last year, and $24,000 the year before.

Is this enough to feel safe without a joint sponsor? If so, this would greatly simplify this process that is already behind.

What do you think?

Fill out your timeline, it really helps out everyone :)

Which visa are you filing for?

Are you filing from the States or from Sweden?

Is your current job in the US?

Your last year's is below the 125% Poverty level for two people (http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf) which will be your most recent tax year, correct? If so, I would suggest to start looking for a joint sponsor.

You can get your tax transcripts immediately if you call the IRS (http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Order-a-Transcript). Tell them you need the transcripts for your spouses' immigration paperwork and need them faxed to you. You'll need to be at fax machine so you can verify as they send them.

Just to clarify, you're referring to taxes you filed for with the IRS on your foreign earned income for the past three years?

You can get an employer letter stating what your current salary is, see this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/186199-i-864-employment-letter-sample/

Back in approx. August 2012 I filled out and filed the I-130 with the supporting docs, it was approved 7 days later.

I then filed the DS-3032 via email shortly after that. It was received and approved.

This was all filed from Sweden, while I was living and working there. Now I'm back in the USA ahead of my wife, whom is Swedish.

I'm working for a US company here, I started November 26th.

Yes the past 3 years have been foreign income.

I have a joint sponsor available. It's my brother.

He's filled out the i-864, and his wife is also part of his income, so does that mean his wife will then file an i-864a along with his i-864 since they file taxes jointly?

Since your income was foreign earned during that time period it can't be used for the I-864. Yes, your brother's brother's wife will have to fill out the an I-864A.

Good luck on the rest of the process!
