VSC - For June/July/Aug

My case already went through VSC (thank god), how ever I wonder, what if I would have submitted my petition the first week of August or late July, right before they started getting sending them to NBC and approving in 1-2 months.

Would it be worth the additional $420 to resubmit and thus have it sent to NBC and approved in 1-2 months? If VSC keeps going backwards, it looks like some of these petitioners will be waiting well over 2-3 months for a NOA2.

Is resubmitting even an option?

Thoughts?

I've considered this. Not sure if it would be worth it. We're so close! lol.

Yea, but htink about July and Aug filers, with teh way VSC has been working it could take 3-4 additional months.

You can only assume pressure has been relieved for VSC (administratively) since now they (Dept. of Homeland Security) can show progress on Aug, Sep and Oct filers, while leaving the May, June, July and some Aug to suffer as collateral damage.

Well, in Italy we have a saying "don't change the old road for the new one. You know what you're leaving but you don't know what you're going to find". I wouldn't consider resubmitting because you don't know what might happen in the immediate future. Maybe things would go even slower and you'd regret your choice. I'm well past the 5 months mark and I am still waiting. We inquired about our petition and nobody could give us an answer. I am frustrated, my husband is in the military and they assured us it would be faster for us but is actually going slower than ever. Also I already got my background checked because of my husband's job and seems so stupid that in the span of 5 months they need to make my whole background again and check if I am a criminal or a terrorist. The whole process just sounds dumb to me and I think that at this point the only way to go ahead is to pay someone or know someone in Vermont to speed up the process in a very mob style. I am just so tired and worn out by the wait, I only wanna hug my husband and start living my life

here is the problem with VSC...the entire state population is comprised of inbred, jackleg worthless welfare moochers.

the entire operation at VSC needs to be closed down and everyone fired.

open up another operation in another state where the populace knows how to actually work.

I spit on Vermont.

The thing is we do know the new road, that new road is taking about 60 days on average, where a I-130 from before the cutoff could take at least another 3 months. They have been processing Apr and May for almost 4 months already, and still only say they are half way through May, who is to say it wont take 4-6 months for them to complete all the June/July petitions? I think if I were an Aug. filer and even late July I would have already re-sent the petition to NBC (with 45-75 days turnaround) than wait an undetermined amount of time for VSC to catch up with the backlog.

Like I said earlier, they already lost most of the pressure they had since so many petitions are being approved for Aug, Sep, Oct and pretty soon Nov. I really feel for these people, I was extremely blessed to have been approved, I see so many others that were are also on the June thread really just waiting with no end in sight, at least before the estimated timeline would move forward every few days showing PD dates get closer. Lately it actually goes back more than it goes forward.

Wow, I don't know if there's a way to resubmit the petition hehe, but I think that if we would filed by late July, probably we would take that option, even if that means paying the $420 again (ouch!), but since now the VSC processing times state that they are working on May 21st, I wanna believe that we are close!! (I really really WANNA think positive and to be optimistic...not an easy thing to do) :girlwerewolf2xn:

P.S: We have reached the 6 months waiting for our NOA2! <_< (I just realized that lol)

Already 15 days since the last post on this thread and still almost no one from June has been approved. I can't even calculate how long late July or early Aug filers would take. I hate the way this is being handled by the Dept. of Homeland Security, seems to get worse as time passes.

I know I already lucked out, but really can't help feeling frustrated cause it could be me waiting there still for NOA2.

I fail to understand, this thread. The VSC is burning through I-129f petitions much faster then the CSC. Just yesterday 5 petitions were approved at the VSC (as per Igor's list). Dozens upon dozens more in Jan 2013 then the CSC. I'm not too sure about the NBC, but the petitioners that ended up at the VSC should feel pretty energized at the moment.

You are July filer and your timeline says''There are not enough recent approvals in the timeline system to accurately approximate when your I-129f will be approved. Please see the Timeline Stats page to see recent approvals.''. I am August and it states a projection of between March 1st and March 8th, that doesn't make sense at all.
