Hi Coloso. I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm also from Rochester and I'd love it if you could fill in your timeline. There are no Rochester N-400 stats and I'd love to have someone else's progress to watch as I sit and wait.

CURRENT STATE OF AFFAIRS - I-130 petition for married sibling
2016

Jul 5 - Receipt date for I-130 petition for my over 21 brother and his wife (both in the UK)

2024

Feb 23 - Sent USCIS a message asking for a processing update

May 6 - Received an email response saying things were progressing normally but that waiting times might be longer

Note: I immigrated from Canada, not T&T - the timeline is reflective of this.


THE SAGA CONTINUES - IR-5 Story
I-130 for Parents - 2013
Aug ?? - mailed I-130 packages for both mother and father
Sept 10 - NOA1 date
Sept 16 - NOA1s received

2014

Feb 25, 26 & 28 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office, then to my local office, and then just transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

Mar 20 - N-400 receipt date for my father
2021
Apr 21 - Biometrics appt.

2022
May 2 - Interview

May 20 - Naturalization ceremony

when I had mine in NYC it lasted about half hour. cos there were different time slots. You come in, hand in your green card and apppointmentv letter at the counter. Then you sit with family and friends sitted at the back. Someone then comes up in front and addresses everybody. then the background of the ceremony is explained. The attendees then stand to recite the national athem and each person walks up front to collecvt the certificate. the was mingling and picture taking.

GOD has been WONDERFUL!!!
CR-1 (for Husband):
09/15/2012: Got Married
09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!
05/13/2013: POE; JFK

N-400: (3 months and 12 days)
Filed N-400 : 2011-06-17
Interview: 2011-09-27
Oath Ceremony: 2011-09-30

IR-5 for Mom Entire process took 5 months exactly
USCIS (22days)
mailed I-130 : 2011-09-30
NOA 1: 2011-10-03 (text & email)
NOA 2: 2011-10-25 (text and email)
NVC: (19 days)
Case entered and # assigned: 2011-11-18
NVC Case COMPLETED: 2011-12-07 ( 43 days from NOA 2 and 65 days from NOA 1)
Interview Date(Lagos): 2012-01- 23 Mom was late for interview
New Interview date: 2012-02-29 : VISA APPROVED

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

october 11 inline for interview

october 12 schedule for interview

interview on november 20

Oath december 6th...

Penguin for my father application can I only summit the I-130 for now? and then worry about the other staff later on?

What other stuff?

If you submit without a copy of your US passport or naturalisation cert, without the fee, without the bio forms etc you will be rejected. If you submit without photos then yeah, no problem.

ball.gif A copy of your birth certificate showing your name and the names of both your parents

ball.gif If your name or your father’s name is different from the name on your birth certificate, you must provide evidence of the legal name change.

ball.gif If you were not born in the United States, a copy of either

ball.gif your Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship or

ball.gif your U.S. passport

ball.gif A copy of your parents’ civil marriage certificate

ball.gif A copy of any divorce decrees, death certificates, or annulment decrees that would show that any previous marriage entered into by your mother or father was ended legally
