After a long 6 months wait, a lot of drama and interviews, medicals and all finally got the K1 Visa on 30th Nov, 2012. Opened up the packet found my passport along with the US visa, was very delighted but the smile vanished with in the next second. They misprinted my name, instead of SHOUNOK, they printed SHOUNAK. Hence once again went to the nearest drop off center i.e Team Stanley, today and wrote a declaration letter as advised by the Consulate officials and submitted my passport. Now, I wonder how long they are gonna take, in order to issue a new visa. Lately, checked my passport status and it says " In Transit To Post".

I'm really worried b-c my passport is surely gonna go underneath the bunch. Anyone in here with similar experience ?? Any suggestions from you VJers to me??

For the people that I know, who had an issue of this kind, it took less than a week; but anything is possible and every embassy is different. I doubt it'd take 30 days though.
