Tried Calling the NVC

. . .Well, I was unable to PHONE the NVC from Tuguegarao, soooo, I EMAILED them a week after the NOA2 & got a reply in12 hours with a MNL#!!! Highly recommended way of getting your MNL#. . . So then we paid our $240 & set up the interview which is Thursday the 13th at 7:30AM; Fiancee is at SLEC right now doing the medical; I will be at the USEM Visa interview with my Fiancee & then head home around 8PM later that same day. . . .We are aiming for her coming to the Sonora, CALIF ( any Filipinas near there??? ) area around the middle of February as she has some family obligations until then. . . Thanks to all who helped with answering questions that we posted !!!! Happy Holidaze!!!!!

From reading postings here I can only guess-timate it has not even been 2 weeks since you got your MNL # ... for sure that is to quick for the packet to arrive from NVC in New Hampshire in time.

We scheduled my wife's interview about a month after getting the MNL # .

Anyone else experience delays because they schedule to quickly after MNL# ?

I had hoped we could schedule ASAP

One month after MNL# seems a long time but I'd hate for my Fiancee to be turned away

She had suggested she fly to Manila Twice

Once for St Lukes

And once for interview

Any comments or advice?

Also what is the best way to pay for Hotel?

Let her pay cash or me call & put on my credit card?

I plan on using Lotus Garden

. . .I got back to CA after the interview did not happen but rescheduled Rowena for 1/13/13. . .I would tell you to wait at least 12 working days after you get emailed the MNL# to schedule the interview. . .Could do the medical 1 day & then a couple of days later the USEM Interview. . .We stayed at Oasis Paco Park Hotel which was REAL NICE@ $1800 pesos (get 2nd or 3rd floor rooms-NOT 1st floor) but food EXPENSIVE!!! About a 7 min. walk to Robinsons with LOTS of food choices (http://www.oasispark.com/ ). . . The people at Oasis are REAL NICE (Paulene) & very accomadating . . .Tell her you heard about Oasis from Adrien & Rowena. . . .

If she needs to stay both choices are good options but her sister lives in MNL so she will probably spend night there & then head back up to Gonzaga; Hopefully she will fly to CALIF mid to late Feb. I was there for 6 weeks from Haloween to 12/13 (has some things she needs to do with family & property ) . . .Any Filipinas live close to Sonora, CA?????????
