If you can try calling them right after they open that would be best. When I called within 30 minutes of their opening time I was able to speak immediately to an agent. Later in the day I have gotten busy signals and LONG wait times. GOOD LUCK!!

Update your profile and timeline so we know what type of visa you are applying for.

:time:

As for contacting NVC, along with calling you can email them, they are very good about replying to emails.

enter] For the NVC: [/center]

Check on your embassy case number:

Give them 7 - 10 days before calling. Call after 4:45 PM eastern time for shorter wait times K1's are not tracked through the AVR, ever. They are processed like an immigrant visa, but they are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own. Therefore you need an operator. To get there:

1-603-334-0700 Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

Press 1 for English

Press 5 for an operator

NVC CONTACT INFORMATION:

Website: www.immigrantvisas.state.govwww.immigrantvisas.state.gov

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov (I found NVC to be very quick responding to emails)

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:

You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response:

* NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).

* Petitioner's name and date of birth.

( NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name and date of birth. )

* Principal Applicant's name and date of birth.

. . .Well, I solved my problem last night! I have been here in PI since Halloween & have not seen a calendar since then & did not know what day it was; I called them on Mondayin the PI which is SUNDAY back home - reason I got the recording. . .Thanks for the replies; a little lack of situational awarenesson on my part returned poor results. . .

. . .Well, I was unable to PHONE the NVC from Tuguegarao, soooo, I EMAILED them a week after the NOA2 & got a reply in12 hours with a MNL#!!! Highly recommended way of getting your MNL#. . . So then we paid our $240 & set up the interview which is Thursday the 13th at 7:30AM; Fiancee is at SLEC right now doing the medical; I will be at the USEM Visa interview with my Fiancee & then head home around 8PM later that same day. . . .We are aiming for her coming to the Sonora, CALIF ( any Filipinas near there??? ) area around the middle of February as she has some family obligations until then. . . Thanks to all who helped with answering questions that we posted !!!! Happy Holidaze!!!!!

What great treats have you received, so far?

Ya, Ya, we all know about the tricks, I'm asking about the treats ;)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Soooo, we showed up for the interview, gave all requested paperwork, took a seat & waited. . . Then my Rowena & I got called to the window & the lady said. . . ." We cannot do your interview today, the packet from NVC has not arrived yet. . .Call this number to reschedule another appointment". . .Sooooo, I headed back to Sonora, CA as I had a ticket home & Rowena headed back to Gonzaga, Cagayan Valley. . .BUT, she is scheduled for 1/9/13. . .We are both OK with the delay BUT it would have been real nice to get done while we were both in MNL ( NOT my favorite city by the way ). . .Hopefully she will be here mid - late Feb.????

Hey now that you have time... update your profile information and...

:time: (completing your timeline helps others in this journey)

From reading postings here I can only guess-timate it has not even been 2 weeks since you got your MNL # ... for sure that is to quick for the packet to arrive from NVC in New Hampshire in time.

We scheduled my wife's interview about a month after getting the MNL # .
