Hell my fellow VJers:

I am expecting my wife to be interviewed at US CO in Casablanca around end of January. i have two divorce cases and both divorce cases are listed on my all US papers and my wife is aware of it too and even knows their names (none of the two got a green card or came to the USA). After reading some cases on VJ specially with Rajaahope's sister case, I went through the copy of my Moroccan marraige certificate and found out that my latest divorce ( back in 2006)was the only one mentioned on it and my very old divorce (back in year 2003) was not mentioned on it. FYI, my marital status on the Moroccan marriage certificate is shown as a Divorced not as a single. My question is if all my US papers are showing my two ex-wifes names and final divorce decrees ( already submitted to the USCIS and NVC), will the US consulate in Casablanca take it seriuosly and deny petition because my old divorce was not mentined on the Moroccan marriage certificate though Morocan marriage certificate shows my latest divorce and divorcee's name only?

Any one's opinion, who went through process or heard about any case similar to mine?

I can't believe CSC took 2 years to approve your petition! Makes our 6 month wait look ridiculous! Anyway from what I've read on VJ Casablanca is considered one of the tough ones, good luck to you two. At the end of the day the CO just wants to make sure you're divorced so hopefully there won't be any problems.

Is there any way to amend one's moroccan marriage certificate? That's quite a clerical error. No way to know if they will make this an issue for you or not but if you can manage to get it cleared up and corrected before the interview then it's prolly worth doing. I am also a bit confused as to how your petition took 2 years at the USCIS level. But I don't know your story... Hope all works out!
