Japanese man eats, robs and leaves

TOKYO, Japan (Reuters) -- Police are looking for a robber who held up a noodle bar in western Japan then paid for his meal and waited for his change before making off.

The young man ate a bowl of "ramen" noodles and a side order of fried chicken at a restaurant in the city of Osaka on Wednesday then produced a knife and forced a waitress to hand over takings of 46,000 yen ($393), the Sports Nippon newspaper said.

When the woman demanded he pay for his meal, the robber gave her 1,000 yen and waited for his 100 yen change before running away, the paper said.

After seeing that he was so accomodating after she asked him to pay for his meal, why didn't the waitress just ask him not to rob the place?

Reminds me of about 20 years ago.. I lived in Hawaii.. was a manager for Mcdonalds... I was the closing manager.. wrapping up the last transactions of the night.. A man came up to the lanai window.. put a gun to my employees head and demanded Two Burgers... some Saimin (noodles) a large soda. .. and all the money in her drawer.. I was standing just to the side of the kitchen.. the Man .. told me.. call the freking cops.. do it--- now-- or Ill shoot... soo I picked up the phone.. dialing 911.. police... etc.. the operator could even hear this irate man yelling at us while i was giving discriptions of him.. . . the food was taken the money as well. he left.. in his car.. which we had full discription of ... .. police arrived.. say within minutes of this man leaving.. a search began... . while the police were at the store.. taking all the information.. a notice cameover the radio.. the man was found... .. passed out in his car.. on the side of the freeway..

all the food scattered in his car. and the bag of money as well as his drugs.. sitting in his lap... . ...

I look back at that now.. and.. it still gives me the creaps... too many whacko people out there.. you just never know what a persons intentions are..
