When and How to Pay the Fee

Applicants must pay this fee online through the USCIS website. Applicants should submit payments after they receive their visa package from DOS and before they depart for the United States.

Applicants can electronically submit the fee by answering the questions on the USCIS website by providing their:

checking account information, or

debit or credit card information.

All check payments must be drawn on a U.S. bank.

If the applicant is unable to make this payment, another person can make this payment on the applicant’s behalf.

Failure to Pay

The applicant will not receive a green card until the required USCIS Immigrant fee is paid.

Failure to pay does not affect the lawful status of the applicant. While the applicant can use their Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Form I-94, Arrival and Departure Record, for one year to document they are a lawful permanent resident, once that I-94 stamp expires, the applicant will need to possess a green card as evidence of their lawful permanent resident status.

Thanks Mr. Pawan again for helping.

Okay, Good.

Have you paid this fee? Probably not, since your wife came to USA before February 1st, right? Well do you know what this A*** # is? They are asking for it on the form for fee.

They ask of name, DOB, Case ID, Country of Birth and a number starting with "A".

My husband is faxing me the letter he received but was just wondering ahead of time. I will post a new thread for this shortly.

you can find A# on I-130 approval letter (NOA-2).

no my wife didn't have to pay as she got her visa in Jan.

Thank you Mr. Pawan.

Sorry to everyone else, for posting something entirely different topic here. Don't get stressed out it is very simple procedure. So simple that we have to pay $165 for it. :bonk:

Hi,

My wife submitted her passport on Dec. 9, 2012 and we are still waiting for visa stamping. The pain is excruciating also my wife's medical expires on Feb. 15 so I hope they get it completed before that. I am thinking about filing a writ of mandamus on DOS

Hi Svbhojani,

SOrry for the delay reply..after getting first 221g on Nov 26, 2012, I have submitted my docs on Dec 3, 2012 for ongoing relationship. Then got mail on Jan 14, 2013 to pick up the passport and went to Jan 15, 2013 in the nearest OFC location to collect my Passport. Got second 221(g). So waiting now. Agree with Pawan, expecting last week of Feb...again not sure...

Getting paranoid nowadays :(

Yes, I contacted U.S. Representative and Senator but no help. I got no other choice but we proceed with writ of mandamus

Hi Dinank,

As a forum's friend, a word of caution for you - You are thinking of filing a writ of mandamus but don't you think it can spoil the matter..BEcause every VO is different and so as their ego and understanding and sending this type of writ will only make the matter worse or who knows makes them aggressive. because this writ of mandamus actually force them them to perform their duty if I am not mistaken..

Think twice!!

Even my husband told me to wait for this month, who knows you get visa in February...

I agree with Payal, writ of mandamus force them to make a decision on petition which can be Yes or No. and it is usually filed if you have waited years.if it is few months courts may not take this.
