I've been hearing that VSC has been claiming to be working on May 14th, 2012 files however I came to find out that a September 2012 filer just got approved on Nov 8th, 2012. Just 44 days between the NOA1 and NOA2. Their petition was sent to VSC. I am a August filer and I am still waiting for an approval. They talk about how petitions are looked at based on the order it was sent but that's a lie. This is just unfair. I am very tensed and upset.I am planning to call USCIS and complain to them about this and they better do something about it and I even have proof that they approved a Sept filer before a Aug filer. Please leave some feedbacks about what you think about this. Thank you!

We, ourselves, have no clue if we were on CSC or NBC. But.. We received our NOA1 last September 24, 2012 on CSC. After a week, we received another mail saying that our application was transferred to NBC and routed to USCIS office after 5 days.

Then, we got our NOA2 last November 29, 2012. Total of 66 calendar days and 47 working days of waiting. We didn't expect this too soon. But thank God we made a glorious sigh.

Sangita- There are so many of us here who filed in April and May who has not gotten our NOA2 yet. Unfortunately, they have been saying that they have been working on the May 14th application for the past whole month. I do not know why they are so stuck on this day alone for months. Perhaps, I am thinking that they stopped looking at the I-130 (At VSC) to catch up on the K1 files since they are so behind with that as well. Anyway, all the folks who filed up until August who filed with VSC is still working under VSC, and the applications submitted after that date have been transfered to a local office where it only takes them barely 2 months to do so. In another words, even though I applied in May 2012, my application can take anywhere between 6=8 months at VSC, and someone filed in September 2012 who got approved already. Is it fair, no its not. This is the Government, what can we do? There is a system in place but apparently not a good one. I wish if i had waited and filed in September or October rather than back in May 2012.

what's 'touched" mean? Mine sent on August 8th. On August 16th,We got email and text.Said our case is routing to VSC. That's it.Never transfer to somewhere.Never said touched. Our case statues now is Initial review: On August 13, 2012, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Is it normal? Will my case next step should transfer to somewhere or touched before waiting for NOA2? One of the only ways to get a case expedited is if the petitioner is a U.S. servicemember serving overseas in a combat zone. This is probably what happened with that particular case. I'm no longer in the military, but I have been deployed to Iraq twice with the U.S. Army and I still cannot get my case expedited because I'm not currently serving. I've been waiting 4 months and I still have not received my NOA2. Be patient. It will all be worth it in the end. If you have not received the NOA2 within the 5 month time frame, I would advise you to start making inquiries.

This subject and issue comes up every year, around every holiday. The truth is, there is no method to this madness.you can't say because ONE petition from X month got approved, they are looking into that month. Sometimes files get mixed up. Sometimes someone expedites and they randomly choose to accept, sometimes some cases are left behind, the petitioner makes a service request and they become priority. You can't count on ANYTHING. The only thing you can keep track of, is how long your case has been dragging along. If it is outside of the service centers window, that's when you CAN be outraged or demand faster processing and all. Know it's hard for Americans to understand and be content with the fact that there is nothing they can do, but in immigration, because its a privilege and not a right, there really isn't anything you can do.

First if you kindly fill in your timeline you are helping others on here...

And as you state on your signature with only filing on August 25th 2012 you still have a long way to go to be so "tensed" and upset...Your complaints dont seem warranted compared to the many others that have gone through much more or are still waiting.

And why are they dishonest? Because they are not telling us what we wanna hear? Approval doesn't take five months because they hate the petitioner or are racist or because of discriminations. It isn't personal and those officers are not lying monsters.
