Hi all was wondering what to do I was layed off from my job awhile ago and my unemployment will run out at the end of dec, and my wifes 485 interview is coming in the near future i think at the end of jan , I have been looking for work pretty hard but to no avail as of yet . I was wondering what would happen if I had to go to the interview and had not worked for most of the year and I had a promise of a job coming up in march through a union hiring hall but will be cut off unemployment at the end of the month ,and can not show income as of now . should I delay the interview or what

A promise of a job isn't going to help. Does your wife have EAD, so she could look for work too? Do you have anyone who can co-sponsor?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Yes but if I could avoid using a cosponsor I would rather do that, and if I should use a cosponsor how would I go about adding that fact now that the application is in.

And yes my wife has her EAD just received it the other day.

*** Moving from AOS from Work/ Tourist visa to AOS from Family Visa ****

I wouldn;t delay the interview, at least not at this stage. You still have two months for either of you to find a job, and even if you do not find one, they won;t deny you outright, they will give you a certain amount to come up with a co-sponsor, which will hopefully take you into March when you have a job.

The only pain is that my job will be in new york and I am in Florida right now. I was wondering could I bring a 865 cosponsored form with me and hand it to the interviewer and have my cosponsor with me do you think it would be approved then
