After accepting our AOS from at the NVC we got a checklist about the petitioner proof of domicile and every time we're calling them, they're telling us the AOS is fine and accepted but the checklist was dated as yesterday. So we requested the supervisor and we talked to her and she told us that she is going to request our case file to check what's going on with it and to call back next Wednesday. I already sent recent bank statements from Bank of America and SRP and my voter registration card and I told the supervisor that and she said those documents are enough and that she'll check on the case and to call next week to see what's going on. Does anyone know what I should expect? As we got in the same email a checklist for the DS-230 which we already sent asking to send it.......i'm a little confused and need help.

have you studied what a false checklist letter looks like, and why it's deemed false? It's covered in the FAQs section back in post #1, fwiw.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Well I just called NVC again and it's the same as the last 3 days lol...they got my petition on Dec 19th and it is in the process of being entered into the system and they will mail me a packet in 10-20 days after that (or something like that) lol...so I guess I will call next Wednesday (they will be closed monday right?)...and pray we have a case #....do I need to ask for the invoice # at that time as well? I know I read this somewhere....lol (I believe it was the first post of this thread)...thanks all!

Thanks for you answers and I already did read it but please don't answer my question with a question just say the answer if you have one. So according to my situation do you think getting this RFE about the domicile in the US for the petitioner after we were told already accepted a week ago with the same email of a checklist for DS-230 which is already sent????? I called them and told me that the AOS is fine on the system and no one know about the chicklist which is dated as yesterday, did anyone got this situation before?

I may be wrong but it sounds like one of those things that occur due to poor coordination in an office so does look like a false checklist even though it is recently dated after initial acceptance.

01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!

:oops: dozed off so did not make that call just before midnight as planned 1.5 months is more than doable as long as you have ALL needed documents ready and set to go with payments once you have ur case # and IIN. I am so hoping for a February interview :)

same here, I'm really hoping for a February interview it would be veryyyyyyyy awesome if I could go home by march, I have a lawyer and his assistant is a bit lazy, I'm going to give her a piece of my mind on monday since they're already closed for today.

Someone knows if the NVC was open yesterday??? The 27th???

yes they were, I've been calling in to get my case number and that's how I know :)

They were closed yesterday, due to the snowstorm.

They will be closed on 1/1/13.

Are you awaiting interview date also?

well they weren't closed when I called yesterday!!
