Yay ! To celebrate, please prepare 9 kilograms o poutine and share it with yer neighbors. ;)

9 seems the magic number for you, for today.

You are also Top Poster #9 in the Canada Portal ;)

Yay ! Double Yay !

Hi Darnell did you see my question yesterday ?, sorry to bother you .

Oh crazy has come and gone. Doubt, questioning. Hell was wondering if husband was full of it. One thing I know dealing with Nigeria through all other rules and regulations out the window. I remember when I was there and I had a FEDEX sent to me from my bank and it took 3 weeks (yep an overnight). I sent letters everyday for a month. One made it and it took 6 months. Heck Dana and Divine just had a package delivered this past July it only took 2 years to get there.

Yep, and two years from now Deb and her hub's are going to have three copies of all of their documents arrive through DHL! That place is just crazy! I had thought of sending Christmas cards at the end of last month...but why bother? They won't get them until I visit next year anyway so I might as well just take them along!

With that post above, I just hit 9,000 posts laughing.giflaughing.giflaughing.gif

Congrats! ...I think!

Are your fingers tired yet Saylin? Just wanted to say hi to you and report my husband is home! He's been here three weeks tonight, got his green card and social security card this week. He also has applied for employment at a temporary agency and we are on our way. Just wanted to give a shout out again and say thank you for all your help during this process!

Hi Saylin or any of the other great VJ members that might know the answer to my questions....I wanted to know since Montreal does EP, I can just scan the police certificate and the marriage certificate and my BC and send it to them as a PDF file and just take all of the originals to the consulate when I have my interview? my lawyer's clerk doesn't know squat as she had no idea Montreal does EP.

also on DS-260 they want addresses and employments since the age of 16, I however can't find the dates for my first and second job, If I don't put this down is it going to cause any problems? as I've gone over and beyond to find that peice of information but no one seems to be able to help :(

If you don't have an interview yet, then contacting the embassy won't help as they don't have your case. You need to contact NVC and ask them how to request an expedite.

Wat the heck I just received a checklist saying this, but a week before that I had got my case completed and everytime I called they said my case was completed on the 12th.

This is what the checklist said:

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The NVC has received the information you submitted and placed it in your case file. You will be contacted when your petition is sent to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate for further processing.

______CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS:_________________________________

A review of your case has been completed based on your inquiry. The items included in this checklist represent the items still required before your case can be considered complete.

Dana girl you ain't never lied. Man I am relieved and confident that all will be well and get to me next thursday from FedEX. But Why oh why must they take their sweet time to put the data in system. I mean really. Is it I am watching them.

My husband scanned the waybill slip so I have everything and well wait I must. I know sometimes FEDEX even can be weird abt the scanning and updates. OMG Updates from a website deja vu. hehe

I just need my passport and thats a who nuther basket of wahala.

Excuse me ? I pimp you out, at least 11 times per month, for getting folk to send you 2 to 20 kg bags of poutine gravy powder.

I've been doing that a lot this year -

are you telling me that NONE of these so-and-so's connected, sent you even a 2 kg bag of powdered poutine gravy mix?

What a collection of 'tards and cheap-o's, if'n that's truly the case.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Yes, if you sign up for EP (you need to optin), then yes, you scan everything in both packages, email each package in one PDF, and then bring the originals to the interview. You should look at the wiki I wrote about the NVC process in relation to EP and online forms. Then send the link to your lawyer/lawyer's clerk.

If you can't find out the dates, then you obviously can't fill it out. It shouldn't be a big deal. I've never seen someone get a checklist for NOT putting all the information (as they can't remember). The employment section is not the most important part of the form (unless you worked as a prostitute or something, which then it would cause problems).

It's probably just a delayed false checklist from when your AOS package was reviewed. NVC is still open for another hour by the way ;)

Nope, not one single kg of poutine has been sent to me :(

Ok great, I will for sure forward that to the lawyer's clerk so she will have a better idea. and as for the employment I guess I'm going to skip it because I can't remember it and no thankfully I didn't work as a prostitute ever lol....Thank you so very much for your reply

yesterday I the NVC and ask about my case if the DS-230 and AOS was accepted or not so the one who answered told me that our case is completed and now waiting for interview date so we were so happy then someone called my mom who is our agent and told her that he gave us the wrong information about the case and our case is not complete yet and probably will take up to 20 business day so I called back and the same person answered he told me that he gave me the wrong information ans asked if I want to discuss it with a supervisor and I said "Sure" so the supervisor told me that our case is not completed yet and she said something about our case is now at the DOS waiting for our originals to be reviewed or received and I have to let them more time and she said that our AOS is fine, I'm not gonna tell how much frustrating it was but I want to ask is it NORMAL that my case is at the DOS now waiting for my originals? wasn't it supposed to be at the NVC now still? I'm a little confused and need some help

Hello December fillers!

I must confess that the NVC step is still a little bit confusing for me.

I read all the post and guides I could find (especially on VJ) and I think that my next step is to start calling NVC 2 weeks after NOA2, that would be the last days of December, to ask for my NVC number so that I can send my "choice of agent" by email. Will my USCIS number (MSC number) be enough for them to locate my file?

What happens if you don't call NVC?

I already gathered all the other documents (marriage certificate, taxes, etc.) but I just know how to start it! :help:

Thanks!

Have you read the #1 and #2 Post of this thread that tells you everything u need to know.

Not calling just makes things go alot slower. What would be 15 to 20 days could be weeks maybe more than a month. Calling and knowing whats up just helps. Like you not calling to get your case# lets say they assign it yesterday it would be more than a month before you even know in that time you will be invoiced and could have paid your AOS bill get your DS-3032 emailed in instead of snail mailing it in.

So go to the first page of this thread and read the first two post.
