Our journey has finally come to an end! Richard's oath ceremony was this morning and it was a lovely and touching event, I have to say everyone at the Philadelphia USCIS office was polite and friendly, many offered congratulations along the way, It really seemed that they enjoyed their jobs. The place packed with "new Citizens" and their families and friends and Richard looked so handsome in his navy suit and his American flag tie. My daughter, granddaughter and I had little flags to wave and it was just wonderful. Of course I must give props and thanks to the visajourney forum and participants for advice and support over the entire immigration process.

On to the Passport and upgrading Social Security (and of course registering to vote) but the hard part is done. Best wishes and best of luck to all that are behind us.

As promised, here's my interview experience. Interview was scheduled for 9.30am, I arrived at 9am. The line was a bit long and slow, got to the 15th floor about 9.20am. Handed in my appointment letter

My wife and I went to the interview today and wanted to say that she passed and was giving the notice that her oath ceremony is on the 27th at 7 am. She never slept she was so nervous and no matter how much I told her she had nothing to worry bout she still did. She is now calling all her family in Vietnam. Great day for her.

Hello!!!

Well today was my interview, needless to say I was so nervous. So I arrived to the office before 8:00 AM. 35 minutes later the IO called my name. The lady was nice. She briefly took a look at my case and then she proceeded to ask me to read: "What's the name of the country on the north the U.S?" and then she asked me to write: "Canada is on the north of the United States".

Then she asked me 6 questions. And then I stood up and raised my hand swearing that I would say the truth.

She asked the same questions that came on the application. I made 2 mistakes: the first one, I wrote the incorrect date on one of trips. She just looked at my passport. The second one it was about being arrested or detained.

Again, I never been arrested of a crime but I was assuming that traffic violation was an offense but she corrected me. Gladly I got my paperwork from the court, including a certified letter stating that I don't have any pending nor open cases (phewwwwwww!!!)

At the same time I saw her taking the certificate preparation sheet with my 2 pictures. She asked me to review the information, and signed the application.

Then she gave me a letter where it says that I passed the written and read part as well the history and government test. Therefore she is recommending my case for approval. It seems they weren't giving oath dates.

My heart basically stopped for 5 seconds... and then she walked me to the door and that was it.

Now time to wait for the oath day letter and that will be it.

desicion can not be made now ????? i had an interview two days ago .. i was arrested one time almost one year ago about the treffic crime .. IO said me my supervisior will review your arrest case thats why desicion can not be made now .. during the waiting to desicion .. are they gonna check again my relationship and my all information?? how many days or month later can i get exactly desicion?

You need to be patience and keep checking your online status.

Decision Can not be made is means, IO will review your file and after satisfaction of your case file, then you will receive your decision. but until then calm down and keep praying.

Hey guys,

I have a quick question, I am gathering all the necessary documents I need to take to the interview with me. I've gotten a ticket 2 years ago for driving on a one way "GPS fault". I was given 2 tickets and I don't remember the exact month or date it happened and I also don't have any records of paying for these 2 tickets. My question is; how can I go about getting this information? Do I go to the DMV? Or is there a different department I have to go to get the proof that these tickets were paid for? Thanks in advance
