They would rather try attrition. However, if you bottle a large population into what is in reality a high density prison, and give them nothing else to do, they have no choice but to plan ways to frustrate their prison guards, and have sex, in order to relieve the boredom. Than means Israelis are breeding more angry Palestinians everyday they maintain the Occupation, not exactly a winning strategy.

Yeah I think some folks tried to isolate a group in Warsaw back in the early 1940s. Didn't work so well. The regime at the time decided it was a waste of time and shipped them all off to execution.

It would be hard to draw too many parallels between the two situations. For one thing, Israel's neighbors are not showing the same indifference that virtually all of Europe did at the time. Either some how the Allies did not know, or simply did not care, what Germany and German allied forces were doing in the occupied Axis territories, until the American and British forces began liberating some of the death camps. Things are very different this time.

Does Israel have death camps now? Is Israel stopping those people from going to other Arab countries? I mean comparing Nazi death camps and ghetto's to Israel? Some of you people need to get a clue and read up on some history before posting about it.

No they don't have death camps... yet. Good point on them going to other countries. I bet there's about 6 million Jews that wish they did the same.

Nothing definitive really. I'm sure if the Jews in 1930s saw that coming, they would've been gone. Just looking at ethnic/religious cleansing patterns of the past. Seems the first step is isolation and confiscation of businesses and property. Looks to me like the Israeli govt. is talking things right out of the Nazi playbook.

As far as the "to the victors goes the spoils" line. How come France, the U.S., or England didn't start settling Germany and Japan with Americans, French, or British after WWII?

I guess you could look at the U.S.S.R. after WWII. They seemed to like that "to the victors go the spoils" line. That was 50+ fun years for eastern Europe.

I'm trying to frame this in the last ~75 years. We try to stop or at least not support ethnic/religious cleansing these days.

Lots. All that is a non issue once Israel gains control of it's historic borders once again. It will be Jews only with no Christians and Muslims to muddle up that country. Once Israel gets rid of those wingnut Hasidic (Orthodox Jews) it will be a clean sweep.

The Samarians have the rights to "historic Israel", not the Jews. You should actually read the Bible once in a while. The Jews belong to the region known as Judea.
