Hi, same situation here. We sent our date is 19th June so it's been almost 5.5 months now and we still haven't heard from anyone. I've found A LOT of timelines of people that sent the paperwork in July and got it approved in less than 5 months, sometimes even less than 1 month and it was NOT an expedite. I have no clue what's going on in that office. Every time my husband calls they just tell us to wait "another week" or "another month". Nobody can give us more information about our case. We even started thinking that there must be something wrong with our documents and they haven't told us yet. Yesterday my husband talked to someone that admitted that it was very very weird because since my husband is in the army, we should have a preference and get processed faster than this. Also they told his they're currently processing 14th May filers (is been like that for a couple of weeks now) and I start to feel so desperate and disappointed. At that speed I'm gonna get approved next summer!

Also I've read somewhere that all the petition sent in after 15th August are being sent to other offices so that Vermont office can keep up with the work.

Now I have no idea what's wrong. I suggest we all keep in touch and keep calling and emailing so that we can have more information to share.

Good luck!

Giovanna

There's nothing you can guys but wait. I know it's tough for VSC filers. I understand you guys feel. But come to think of it, I have waited longer than you.. :( I am a May filer with NOA1 May 8, 2012, but until now I haven't got the NOA2 yet. We have tried calling the USCIS but they keep saying you need to wait because both CSC and VSC are having backlogs of petitions. It will be my 7th month this Dec.8 and I have been waiting patiently for NOA2 to arrive. I just hope that our time will come soon guys. Yeah, there are VSC filers who got approved who filed after us, and I also want to find out why is that so. Let's keep our faith that this December it is going to our lucky month. God bless:)

Amen and amen, sis Sweetie811.

There's nothing we can do really but ti wait and be patients. September 1 filer here under CSC and patiently waiting for NOA2.

Just keep yourself occupied, that way you will not feel bored and hopeless. That's what I do everyday. Instead of worrying about the processing time, I spend my precious time with my family here in Philippines because I'm sure that when time comes that I will leave and stay in the US, I will miss them so badly. :)

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.

My pd is June 8th almost 6 months too, still no noa2. I called them 2 times once after 5 months and 1 week, and was told to wait 25 more days. Called back again last week just to check what they'll say, and they said they are currently working on may 14. And that they can't give me an estimate as to when I will be hearing from them.. :( it's so discouraging ;(

I know it's hard for all of us but the point is if you take longer than 5 months, you should AT LEAST tell me how long I am gonna wait before I get approved. Also why aren't they following the normal line? Why there are people going ahead of us? It stinks. That's a list of people that sent their petition AFTER I did so after 19th june (except for a couple that have a similar date to mine). You can easily find people in getting approved before you even if you are a May filer.

And all of these above ARE NOT expedites. I am very very mad, not only because of the 5 months and the "line cutters" but also because at the office say it is weird that my petition didn't get approved yet because my husband is in the military and he should be faster than for civilian. I would be okay with the lack of speed if petition would get approved according to a date order but it looks like they randomly decide to approve people. It is very hard for a family to stay apart. It's not only tough on your relationship but also on the economical balance. My husband is paying for my life here in Italy (and probably you all are in the same situation as me) and he can barely pay the bills and eat. It just seems like they don't care about the fact that behind those case numbers there are people who need to go back home.

Bah I am just so disappointed. American bureaucracy is worse than Italian and believe me, it is HARD to be worse than Italy.

I think they are all lazy, but that's just me. This process is leaving me bitter

Doing a bit of snooping on the USCIS case status/dashboard (we're May 14th filers, so adding and subtracting from our receipt number) it would appear there are hundreds of cases with NOA1 date of May 14th.

Hopefully it was shortly after then that they moved cases to other offices so once they get over this glut everybody doesnt have to wait as long.

Yeah I figured out that there must be a HUGE pile of filers from 14th May and I also know that people in the office are working and not picking flowers and you can't never tell how long this stuff is gonna take BUT I really hate that there's a lack of information. How is that possible that they can't tell us what's going on with our case? Also I already got my background checked because of my husband's job (it happened around April) so why is it taking so long to double check? And my husband is in the military and they assured us that we were gonna be approved faster than civilians because of that and sure enough we're almost at the 6th month and nobody can tell us if we're gonna get approved anytime soon. I get the line, I get the wait but what I don't get is how in the hell people that filed after us are getting approved in less than 5 months. I'm starting to think that there's something wrong with my case and my paperwork.

I am a June 19th NOA1 filer. Let's just wait like one more month and I am sure we're gonna get approved soon. Get a job, get busy and you won't have time to be thinking and to be so frustrated about that ;)

Thanks for the nice words. I am trying to look for ANY job but situation in Italy (especially here in the south is unbelievable). I can't find any job as waitress, house keeper, babysitter, "private school bus", toilet scrubber, tutor for kids in school. NOTHING. The only job I found (and kept for 2 months until I quit) kept me busy 6 hours every day for 100euros a month. I dont want to complain about employment situation in Italy because I am pretty sure all Europe is going through a very very hard period but seriously I have no idea what to do.

Good luck to all of you

Giovanna
