hi, i filed i129f from vsc and approve Nov. 6 2012 and forwarded to NVC and NVC forwarded to Mumbai consulate on Nov. 16. But, mumbai consulate has set up a interview date for my finacee for December 28, 2013 without sending in packet 3 to the mumbai consulate. My question is why did the consulate set the interview date 1 year away? should it be this far apart? any help would be good everybody, don't know what to do.

That's odd. Interview should take place 1 or 2 weeks after the medical. Others reach a month of gap, but a year? That's strange.

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.

I'm sure that's probably a mistake. It's 28 Dec, 2012 I reckon. Contact the embassy or ustraveldocs to double check.

I check the mumbai website under December interview appointment and they don't have us listed.

Did you email support India regardign this situation? If they dont respond, I would suggest havng your fiance go down to the consulate in person and ask them. My fiance had to go down, explain the situation to the officer, to get his interview letter. Email was not helping.
