Please read some of the other threads in this subsection.

Almost all I-130 filers are being routed there before heading out to field offices.

I have got the same email when I sent my documents to Chicago Lockbox. After that I have not received anything from USCIS by email, only hardcopies of NOAs in mail. I dont know if makes any difference, but my case went really fast, which I am glad :)

As what about NBC, so I suppose everything goes there and then they just transfer cases to different centers or some of them just stay there to process there. Here is what USCIS website says about it (I cant post link yet, so I copy it here):

Q : What is the National Benefits Center?

The National Benefits Center was originally created as the Missouri Service

Center (MSC), which was set up to process applications associated with the LIFE

Act. On April 16, 2003, USCIS Director Aguirre approved the transition of the

Missouri Service Center (MSC) into the National Benefits Center (NBC), which

greatly expanded the scope of the Center’s operations. The NBC was primarily

established to serve as the hub and conduit for all USCIS field offices by

completing pre-interview processing of Forms generally requiring an interview.

However, evidence of our origin remains, as all Forms receipted by the NBC still

bear the receipt number prefix of “MSC.”

So my case number starts exactly from MSC, and I just checked NOAs envelopes - so they have address of this National Benefits Center. That is why I think my case was processes there.

Ya, but if you filed an I-130, it SHOULD get sent to National Benefits Center, as your NOA-1 date is 2012-09-17.

So, check the online status page, or at least let us know the first 3 letters of your receipt # ?

xie xie ni!
