Hello everyone, I would like to share my experience so far during the process of filling I-129F for my fiancee. I mailed the form on Oct 15th 2012, received NOA1 on Oct23, that form has been sent to Vermont service centre. As I was/am still unable to locate the case number on USCIS website I tried to call them numerous times and everytime they transfered my call as they are unable to see the case either. So one fine day I spoke to this gentleman on phone and he said he does see my case and site data is not upto date always and that's an IT issue, so I asked him what's the current timeline for the approval of the the process and when I can expect to get NOA2 so he said its 7 to 71/2 months. Really ??? I was in assumption that it is from 5-6 months, has anyone of you come across through this situation ?

Looking forward to hear from individuals who are going the same situation as I am right now.

thanks :)

Mine was almost at 7 months. 203 days to be exact. A very long and difficult wait, but VSC was (is?) very backed up. All you can do is wait unfortunately.

Thanks everyone for your feedbacks, just wondering why Vermonth service centre take soooooo longgggggg to process the applications, I heard california centre is very fast in processing these applications.

I hope Vermont centre will fasten the process and won't get laid back during holiday season

I think that is true. My fiance has spoken to a tier 2 to make a follow-up on our case. He said VSC and CSC are having backlogs of petitions. I have been waiting for 6 months and 3 weeks. It will be my 7th month this December 8. It's really frustrating to wait for such a long time. But what else can I do?? WAIT WAIT WAIT for my NOA2. I hope December will be my lucky month. Keep the faith and leave everything to God.

Just about all of us are going through this right now. I'll hit the 7 month mark this coming week.

Oh yeah? I can feel you. We are of the same boat. It will be my 7 month this coming week.

I understand how you feel. It's really frustrating to know that our case is still pending. It's beyond 6 months already. In my case, I have learned to be positive that my NOA2 will arrive this month. I always keep my faith in God because we have no control. So just be positive guys and never give up. God bless.

Right now K-1 visas are getting approved at VSC in 5.5 - 6 months anyone before May was normally being approved in 6.5 - 7 months. That being said VSC has been getting a little faster every week that goes by. If last year is any indication of what happens with VSC by the time ur application comes up VSC should be some what normal at approval dates. I wish u the best and good luck.

We filed June 6th was our NOA1. 180 days and counting so yes 7 months is the Norm now. Some have been very fortunate. Maybe in your situation their backlog will decrease and times may get back to the 5-6 months.

Good Luck
