I have yet to hear anything from USCiS. I literally caught insomnia waiting to receive an email, text or to check the mailbox. Anxiety is taking over. Should I give them a call or continue waiting impatiently?

FYI, USCIS updated processing timeline today. (as of Mar 31)

Good luck to you too!. My package has been delivered today. I sent it via Fedex. Now i have a question: Do USCIS send you a NOA in the mail when you submit a RFE???. Just wondering. I'd like to have some form of acknowledgement from them that they have received my documentation for my case.

Got the new card today, delighted!

We received a request for more evidence of a goo faith marriage. I am in awe. I sent everything we have, I don't know what else to send them. We are both young, don't have any savings to travel (re: plane tickets) or buy an estate (re: loans). We have a crappy 2001 Hyundai we bought off of Craigslist for 1000 dollars. We don't have kids. I sent tax returns, insurance notices (my husband is insured through me/my job), lots of photos, rent agreement, utility bills (they were for the same address but only in either mine or his name.National grid/Verizon/etc. don't let us out 2 names on the bills), a credit cards statements for our joint account, checking account print outs. The only things I could think of we could send now is our fairly new renter's insurance (bought in February), that I am on my husbands mom's phone plan and photos o our family vacation with his folks at the end of June (though it terrifies me to wait this long before sending the documents). Does anyone have any advice? I am not on our car insurance because I don't have a drivers license (terrified of driving, I only have a regular ID card). I wish someone could just come to our home and look at us like they show in that movie with Andie Macdowell :(

What exactly did they ask for in the RFE?

Do either you or your husband have life insurance with each other as a named beneficiary?

Also, do you have a retirement account at work with your husband as beneficiary? Or does your husband have an IRA?

What about a will? Again with each other as named beneficiary.

Usually the RFE lists specific items that they want. I recommend the tax transcript from your local IRS office, rather than the tax return. Also, you will now be able to include the 2012 transcript as well.

An IRA is an US retirement account. You might have a 401K or 403b? Anyway, it is a way of putting a little money aside for retirement. For any retirement account you name a beneficiary in the case of your death. That could be printed and sent to USCIS

Term life insurance is something I pay $23/month so that if i die in the next 20 years my wife will get $500,000. It is a good idea if you intend to have kids to get life insurance.

I recommend you send

a) tax transcript for joint taxes 2012 (go to your local IRS office).

b) Notarized letters from people that know you. Professionals or a priest are best.

c) Notarized letter from your landlord.

There should be notaries in your area!

Chin up, the USCIS does not deport real marriages - just does not happen!
