To me it seems like you got one of those "bogus RFEs" that they sent out just to postpone working on the case. We sent almost exactly the same stuff (except I did not include any pictures whatsoever)

Are you sure they got your rfe packet. It shouldnt really be taking this long. I would try to call and see as its been over six weeks since you replied to the rfe. And try to figure out if your packet

Hi Guys,

We have another question. Regarding credit card statements and bills. Both are in our names but only my name is shown on the bills. How does that work? Thank you!

We submitted these statements as well. American Express will show both your transactions on the statement if one is an authorized user. Our other credit card did not, so I printed the statements and on top of it made a copy of both our cards.

Yes thanks. I am sooo annoyed at this RFE. I don't know what else to send. Here is a list of what we sent before, tell me what you think:

- Copy of a Chase Credit card where i am the owner of account and husband is authorized user ( i sent copies of cards but not statements)

- Statements from Bank account from 2010 till December 2012.

- Triple A Membership cards showing both our names

- Copies for tax returns for years 2010 and 2011

- Copies of mortgage. (the propoerty was my husband's before we got married, but when he did a refinancing, we both have to sign the refi documents so i sent copies of that).

- Copies of Auto insurance for both of us

-Copies of Health insurance policies and cards

-Copies of DL for both

- Itineraries for trips and vacations we have taken together

-some photos.

In my opinion that is some substantial evidence that we share a life together. I am at a loss for what else to send them, since we cannot send documentation we already submitted.

The only thing i can think of is we bought a new car in January, in both our names, i ould send statements but that only goes far back as january.

We also changed our auto insurance policy to another carriesr and added the new car, but again that is new .

I am an authorized user on a couple of my husbands credit cards and have been for a couple years, but those statements do not show my name on them. So not sure if those will help.

We also changed our Health insurance policies to a new carrier in January but again, that is also new.

And lastly, my husband has had a life insurance policy for years but i was not listed on it, he just put my name as the beneficiary.

Our 2012 taxes are not done yet, but we did file an extension to file end of year.

But like i said all i have is new documentation, all the other stuff i had already submitted to them.

What to do??

We submitted almost the same thing. We also submitted all credit card statements from 2010 to nov. 2012 for 3 of our cards. We did health insurance summary of benefits and all explanation of benefits, health care proxy since 2010, bills under both our names or addressed to both of us.

We did not submit any photos or affidavits by friends we all did these during AOS. What we noticed from the I-130, 485, 751 and the NVC processing of my daughter, your paper work need to be extremely organized, saturate them with everything you have and use their words. Example use Joint Finances or Co-Mingled Finances as a category and under that make your sub categories where you put everything pertaining to your finances. Use tabs and label every single category and sub-category, this will make it easy for them to locate. The thing with Immigration even if you sent it but they can't find it they will issue an RFE.

During our AOS interview, our IO mentioned that labeling and proper organization of papers make it extremely easy for them to go through an applicant's paper work.

We submitted almost the same thing. We also submitted all credit card statements from 2010 to nov. 2012 for 3 of our cards. We did health insurance summary of benefits and all explanation of benefits, health care proxy since 2010, bills under both our names or addressed to both of us.

We did not submit any photos or affidavits by friends we all did these during AOS. What we noticed from the I-130, 485, 751 and the NVC processing of my daughter, your paper work need to be extremely organized, saturate them with everything you have and use their words. Example use Joint Finances or Co-Mingled Finances as a category and under that make your sub categories where you put everything pertaining to your finances. Use tabs and label every single category and sub-category, this will make it easy for them to locate. The thing with Immigration even if you sent it but they can't find it they will issue an RFE.

During our AOS interview, our IO mentioned that labeling and proper organization of papers make it extremely easy for them to go through an applicant's paper work.

True. Makes sense to organize and use tabulation, although we did that when we filed. Anyway, i have almost everything already, just sending in the "new " stuff since i cannot send what we already submitted. Whatever will be will be. Thanks for the input.

We got our approval letter in the mail today!!!! NO rfe! We are over the moon now and done for 10 years unless we apply for citizenship!! Way to go VSC, we were fully expecting this to take a whole year but it only took 6 months!

Can someone update the list for me I can't from my iPad...the actual decision date on our letter is 5/3/13. Thank you and adios for now VJ!
