Wow, that is a coincidence!!! lol... and btw thank you for the info i had the idea i had to wait to past the three years for the naturalization...

You have to wait 2 years 9 months and 2 days (pretty much) since the issue of GC before filing for Naturalization via the 3-year marriage rule.

Didn't know that the naturalization window opened 90 days early, thanks for that! Requested a status information letter from selective service in advance of the window opening, strange to think that in about a little over a year I could finally be a citizen!

Does anybody knows if anyone that has filed with VCS has received an approval before filing for Naturalization?

i am just curious i guess. This time, unlike when we did AOS, i have not been obsessing over this and checking status online every single day. I guess i am resigned to just waiting. My time to file for naturalization will be by the end of November of this year.

I am just wondering if any approvals from VSC could come before we even file the N400

Yes, as everyone else said, your citizenship opens 90 days before your 3 year anniversary, hence i am applying for naturalization in november of this year. No one answered my question though, if anybody received ROC approval before filing for naturalization. I guess that means no then . :(

I filed ROC in late November and nothing yet...

I'm hoping we get them before the naturalization window opens. The Vermont processing time is around 9 months for I-.751 and April 2012 filers are receiving their 10 year cards, so I'm hopeful I'll have mine by December this year when I plan to file for naturalization.

I (personally) do not care if the GC is received or not by the time the window opens up, we are filing the first day we can.

If ROC ain't approved by then, so what.

Yarp. It forces USCIS to make decision on ROC or they just go with N-400.

There have been some cases on this board when people have never received their 10 year GC but Naturalized just fine.

One is not dependent on another.

Hi guys,

I mailed my application last December 28, 2012 and I got my biometrics appointment letter I-797 which I went to last Feb 14, 2013. but I never received a copy of an extension letter extending my immigration status. Has anybody had any experience like this before? If so what should I do? Thanks much!
