I had an interview 2 days ago. Everything went well and io said Im approved and I will get a card in 2 weeks. He handed me a Interview result paper say " further review for your application" and he said don't panic becuz this is how it works. But when I read in Internet most of people will get an online status update or welcome to GC or whatever I supposed to get that day or the day after But nothing whatsoever! I'm in a panicing mode. I don't know what IO said its true or he change his mind or whatever a reason. Pls give me any advice. I can't eat or sleep. Thank you

May I know on which VISA did you came to US?

Sorry, I didn't see before that you were on a F1 Visa. Hope you'll get the online status changed soon. I had my interview three days ago at San Jose field office. My result was not known too when i came back from interview, two days later it changed to Card/ Document Production . Hopefully, soon we'll hear good news from you.. :)

It's been only 2 days and you're already thinking of the case you don't hear for 45 days?! And the IO said you're approved and that he will see you in a few years.... Wow.

You should relax, take a drink, and enjoy your weekend. :bonk:

it's ok. I had my interview on November 21st, IO said we got approved, but only on November 27 they registered me as a new resident. Today is December 1st and my card hasn't been ordered yet and I haven't gotten welcome letter yet. It takes too long sometimes.

Don't worry, there are many people who wait 30-60 days or even more. I was one of those who waited more than one would expect reading posts on this forum (at some point I even joked that some people on visajourney.com must be bogus and making up stories of being approved the same or next day after interview).

I don't think you can even place any kind of an inquiry with USCIS unless it's been more than 30 to 60 days after the interview and you haven't received any update whatsoever.

You can always make an INFOPASS appointment but they will just ask you to wait more until your file is reviewed by supervisor, etc.

Speaking from experience, just listen to those who advise you to relax and even forget about your application until the next month or so. Hopefully you will hear from USCIS by then.

Good luck.
