I'm in Maine. Wages are low. House prices are low. Everything else seems to cost above average. Heating oil being an example and it's 12 degrees right now and the winter hasn't started yet. Thank God I work in Mass. I feel like a millionaire when I come up here!

Baiting thread. You've been reported.

Every thread in here is a baiting thread by your definition. Everyone starts a thread expecting a argument. That's insane.

Regardless, I've always wanted to live in Maine. I want to live in a state that has moose, and Maine is the best of those states I believe.

Thirty below zero here. Expecting winter any time now. But we've burned maybe a gallon of oil in four months. Oil and gasoline is killing people here. Heating oil was $4.50 a gallon delivered when I called just for fun a couple months ago.

We put up 12.5 cords of wood, and that heats the cabin as well as cooking food on top of the stove. We might buy gasoline three times between now and May. People commuting and heating with oil are barely making it.

But no income or sales taxes, and the state sends everyone a permanent fund dividend. $800 this year. And a lot more moose than Maine.

Our heating oil is nearing $7 a gallon out here in Dillingham but our temps are a lot warmer than yours. We are sitting at -5 atm with windchill factored in. I'm moving back to Big Lake at the end of next summer with or without the wife. Iv'e had it with this ####### hole. Natural gas and McDonalds ftw!

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Yup. The worst is up in NW arctic like the Kobuk communities, over $10 in some places.

I developed several properties around Big Lake. Landed my supercub at the Big Lake strip and had a subaru parked there to get around. Yeah, they have it easy with natural gas down there.

It might take all of five minutes for your wife to find a new husband in Dillingham, eh? The odds are good but the goods are odd...

And once she does that it means I can take another trip over the pond to nail me a hot little 18 year old blonde, blue eyed deaf mute RUB gymnast. The wife is going to hit 30 next year anyways so it's about time to trade her in for a newer model. One that can't talk. Iv'e already googled the schools for the deaf over there. :)

Dude it's a joke. Relax. Not sure if you've been paying attention, but a certain member drones on and on about how great Vermont is.

I love Maine. The people are the friendliest I've come across in this country. They're even friendly when they discover I'm a Masshole! The good stuff far outweighs the bad.

The only moose I've ever seen in Maine was hanging by it's back legs with the blood draining out before being butchered! I've seen a live one just standing in a ditch at the side of the road in New Hampshire. It caused a 2 mile tailback cos everyone had to get out and take a photo.

I always thought they went hand in hand. All I know is that I want one that doesn't talk. If they can't talk then they can't b*tch. That's my dream woman right there.
