Hi Everyone,

Almost exactly a month after our I-130 was filed, we received a RFE. I sent in copies of all documents requested the first time around, but they have requested the original marriage certificate, copy of marriage license, 3 original affidavits from friends/family and a sworn affidavit from myself.

When I sent in the docs first time around, I sent a copy of the marriage cert & copy of 2 affidavits from friends. I guess copies didn't suffice & now they would like even more evidence.

So, I'm collecting all these things & am paying for the necessary docs in the US to be sent over ASAP. It's likely I could have them back to the London Embassy in 1-2 weeks. Can anyone tell me if the puts me to the back of the line in terms of processing?

It will probably only take them a week or so to get you approved (if appropriate) after they receive the documents. Dont worry about time scales too much right now. My petition was approved in 69 days and i had my visa approved in 4.5 months so really not long. You wont be waiting too long to get to the US.

Hi! I see that this was an old post, but some are looking to see how the RFE went... if anyone else experiences any RFE's doing DCF in the UK, look below :)

Here's what I did with mine...

*Sent three sworn affidavits from friends/family (These do NOT need to be notarized - it should say that on the paper they sent you), the statement *I Declare... ect...* is the equivalent.

*Affidavit from us (husband and wife)

We didn't need to send anything else other than affidavits.

However, I also sent a cover letter stating each object we sent in with bullet points, and also attached some photos of us together, even though they were not requested.

I explained that I hoped this satisfied them and that if they had anymore concerns to please contact us.

I supplied my phone and email, as well as another SAE with a first class stamp.

Hope this helps you!

Remember to also send BACK the paper they sent you, in with all of it smile.png
