Actually......they got mine to NVC pretty fast. Why not get excited about an NOA2? It means your one step closer to being approved and that IS something to get excited about!

2010-02-08 Filed I-130 through Ca. Service center

2010-13-08 NOA 1 Received

2010-02-11 I-130 transferred to Tx. Service Center

2010-24-11 Notified by email TSC has received our petition and has begun processing it

I believe that those who get approved are not aware that their files will stay for almost another month before the files are sent to NVC...more than a month in some cases. People should be encouraged to get excited only when the file is received at NVC.

What are these stupid photos supposed to mean?

Mine took not even 2 weeks for NVC to recieve it and send it to the Consulate. I guess the wait time just depends on the petition I guess. It's still ok to get excited whether it takes a week or a month to have it forwarded. I see on your back posts that you seemed pretty excited when you recieved your NOA2 :) I was so excited when I got mine!

My point is that the excitement should be tempered until the file leaves CSC. Of course at that point I did not know that the file would take almost another month to leave CSC..its 3 weeks today.

If I were you, I would contact your senator and see if they can help. I know when it took over a month to recieve my NOA2, I contacted my senator and I got an e-mail back saying they look into it. Then a couple of days later I recieved my NOA2.

The annoying thing is that the NOA2 letter says they ahve sent the paperwork to NVC, but thats actuallya lie..the file is sitting at CSC, maybe to pad someone's chair...contacting the senator may not be productive, because they are likely holding many files, but my point is that getting an NOA2 means nothing..its the NVC letter that has weight..as it is, theres no difference with being approved on Oct 13th and November 2nd, because both files go to the SAME PILE thats waiting to go to NVC!

THEY NEED TO ISSUE THE NOA2 ONLY AFTER THE FILE HAS LEFT THE SERVICE CENTER. The NOA2 as it is now is USELESS AND A LIE. The NOA2 letter states that the file has been sent to NVC,yet the file is stil at the service center.

Actually, you cant call CSC directly. The call goes to some contractors who are totally useless!!!!

And even when the file does leave the service centre they dont tell you! My file should be with the embassey in London soon, but the only reason I know that is because we kept calling the NVC. Actually the only thing Ive recieved in this entire process is my NOA1 and NOA2 through the post - no emails, no letter from the NVC, nada.... I guess what Im trying to say is that it pays to keep chasing!
