I sent my AOS on 11/19/12 and my IV on 11/26/12. Does NVC send you a confirmation when they receive the applications? If they do, how long does it take to receive the confirmation?

No, they do not send confirmation email, they will send you an email if they need more documents after they review your case which normally takes 15-20 days and if everything complete you will hear from them when they set an interview appointment.

Just call them after two weeks or so.
