DOS published Annual waiting List: F2A waiting list is 220 K FY 2013 compared to 322 K in FY2012. A 32% Decline

Why there is drop in Number of applications-My Predictions are : More naturalization, USCIS slowdown processing of F2A I-130s, many applicants approved but not ready to complete at NVC due to economic and unemployment reasons,

Guys, put forward your views. My guess is that we would continue to see VB move forward up to 6 weeks as predicted for F2A and may be more in the later half of FY2013 to fully utilize the quota or vice-versa.

Family SECOND Preference: The total Family SECOND preference waiting list figure is 706,910. Of these, 220,313 (31.2%) are spouses and children of permanent residents of the United States (the 2A class), and 486,597 (68.8%) are adult unmarried sons/daughters of permanent residents (the 2B class). The Family SECOND preference represents 16.4% of the total Family preference waiting list. It will receive 114,200 visa numbers for FY 2013, just over half of the 226,000 family preference total; 77% of SECOND preference numbers are provided to 2A applicants, while the remaining 23% go to the 2B class. 2A: About 88,000 visa numbers are expected to be available during FY 2013. I became eligible to file for USC in Nov but I delayed because I had a baby born recently. Becoming USC will delay our case further to later half of 2013.

My prediction for Feb 2013 is 22nd Oct or 1st Nov.

They won't jump that fast. I am sure, I will get my interview in March 2013
