Hopefully everyone knew about this NEW FEE from Feb 1, 2013.

Those who are issued Immigrant visas at Consulates on or after Feb 1, 2013, must pay this fee to get Green Cards to their address. One can pay either before or after entering the US. Delaying the payment will delay in receiving GC.

Is it the reason of VB slowing down for the past few months...

To be honest, I wouldn't mind pay some $165 to help the US get through fiscal cliff as long as VB moves f~a~s~t~e~r

No, it is not the reason and it has nothing to do with VB.

I am happy to see VB moving steadily moving forward. We do not want to see very up movement followed by to the bottom as it happened in Jan 2011.

Guys, be happy and everyone is turn is there for sure and WAIT.

I waited 2 years now and may be another 4-5 months.

Unless a new immigration bill passes in congress next year, we will continue to have 2 to 2.5 years wait time for F2A filers.

Paying $165 is nothing to do with fiscal cliff. USCIS is funded thro application fee but not thro public money
