I paid for my US Visa for K1 this morning at around 9:47am and now I am trying to schedule for an appointment but upto now my Receipt number is not yet generated by the computer. Anyone tell me whats going on. Thanks

That is normal, I experienced the same thing.Paid in the morning and at 5pm I called, but the receipt wasn't generated yet. I ended up to online an appointment, at around 8pm and it's a lot easier.

Did you pay in person at BPI and if so are you using your passport as the receipt number or the receipt number on the slip you printed when you went and paid for the visa.

When we paid for ours it took 30 minutes for it to be in the system and we had no problem scheduling the two appointments we needed. We used the receipt number from the slip we used to pay the visas.

It took 24 hours for my fiances to work after paying for it at BPI. Try again in the morning. Also make sure you enter the number correctly in the system.

The embassy website states that after 4 hours you should be able to schedule your interview, but many times it takes 24 hours (for sure not several days as one person posted :bonk: ), so just be patient and keep trying.
