Hello,

My wifes I-485 is still pending but it is about time to renew her I-765 Card. We are thinking about traveling back to Romania next year. Should we send the I 131 and the 765 renewal together? Also will we need to send another $85.00 in for Biometrics?

Thanks in advanced

We have a pending I-485 also. Im a little bit confused, my wifes K-1 visa is expired but our I-485 is pending. We would like to go back to Romania to see our family. Should I apply for a re-entry permit or and advanced Parole document?

The K-1 visa is a one-time use visa and became null and void the moment she used it to enter the US. You would need advance parole(not re-entry permit) or the green card in order to travel and have her be able to re-enter the US. No biometrics are required for AP. Send in a copy of your NOA receipt notice from filing the I-485 with the forms and the fees for them will be waived. If you have not already, you may want to put in a service request and/or contact your congressman to see why the I-485 approval is taking so long.

Ok thanks Jay Kay. Last time I checked online it said it was in the intial review phase and it could take 16 months at the California Service Center. I have one more question, Im getting ready to move to Connecticut should I apply for the service request now? Or should I wait until I get my new address then apply? I have no idea how the change of address process works and I dont want our documents to get lost in the mail.

16 months is for employment-based green cards. If your EAD is about to expire the your green card application is very, very overdue. Most family-based green card applications are approved within 4-8 months.
