Hi all,

I have just join the page today.

I am confuse about the certified copy of marriage certificate. Do I have to wait 4 to 8 weeks to recieve it by mailed or can we go in person to the county to pick it up by myself.

I need to process AOS and I have been waitng for the certified marriaged certificate. Start to get worry now.

Please help :-) Thank you so much.....

I believe in L.A. County they say it will be recorded in 2-4 weeks from the date of the marriage (assuming you had a civil service or if not, from the date you filed it with the Recorders office). You can call the Recorders office to see if has been recorded yet. Once it's been recorded you go down in person and get a certified copy (I got 3!) In Orange County they told me 2 weeks but it was actually recorded 5 days after our civil ceremony.
